Well...ummm......what engine do you have now?
Another ka lol

Nothing else that I can think of is "LEGAL"

right now i have a stock 92 engine in it i guess it would be the double over head cam ka24de engine in it i was also thinking of gettting a maxima motor or on of the 300zx motors
any swap is "Legal"

if you mean emissions and junk but even so. the KA system has a AIV and EGR for emissions so anything you get can be clean.

If you wanna swap that bad SR is the most common, and probably the most cost effective. Ive seen 2jz's, 13B-rew, LSX motors, RB motors, a 4age motor, just depends on your bank. you probably dont have much so try to find a KA DE motor and work a turbo with it

Are you unaware that the VG30DE/DETT is a 6 cylinder?

With crap gas mileage.
well i can save up im 17 i have no bill (except insurance and gas) and i work 40 hours every week so i got money to spend but how could i make the sr20 legal for gas emissions and everything like that
and yes i realized that about the vqs i ment to edit the post but i was hoping no one would say anything
i mean dont get me wrong im not saying im rich im just saying mostly all my paycheck is profit
Depending on where your located and how strict emission is, a modified SR with a cat can easily pass inspection.
You can't make it legal...no swap is legal if its not the same motor
if its got a ka24de which if its a 92 it is just work with that, its really not all that bad of a platform and way cheaper cus you dont have to buy a new engine then build one, just build the one you got and turbo it, way less time money and headaches overall imo

This. Now if by "LEGAL" you mean pass emissions, that's different. Need to specify.
Im pretty sure he only said that it is illegal to do any swap becuase he lives in cali and they have strict laws about modifying cars.
I say go 13b. I have always wanted to do it and if i could find a mounting kit i would do it in a heart beat.
Everyone has there own personal preference. I love rotarys. Please try not to post this flame bull shit in another members thread he asked a question and I gave him my opinion. Rotarys are small and when driven correctly get good gas mileage. They are also a rarer swap into the S-chassis than the standard sr or rb. They also can yield high numbers and they have a very appealing exhaust note. They also are fairly easy to pass emissions with which meets the prerequistes for the ops question.
