sorry if my grammar sucks, kinda hard to write a post while working and making sure my boss does not see... wow and to think i thought this was a friendly site,,, do you feel like a tuff guy making fun of people? sorry if i did not get all the right schooling to be at your intellectual level of people bashing... man life must be great for you to pick on people over the internet…

not picking on you, spaz. Just telling you to read the stickies. This topic has been covered a lot. So the search button and stickies are a good place to start.

hey doc..yeah some guys are just straight out forward and say wat comes to their mind without thinking. but at the same time they are right in a way but he could have just said here read these stickies this should help and also use the search button a lot of threads on here that can help you with your questions but if u fell like ur stuck just ask away...but donnt forget to mention that u did search the forums here if not they will bash you n say use the search button.

For your swap it all depends on how much time and money you are willing to spend. SRs are the most popular because they are cheaper and have more aftermarket parts for more fun..lol..for me im doing my research on a RB25DET swap.

and...oh boy...another S15 wanna be conversion. I'm starting think that it would be rare to actually keep the OEM front end...

thanks guys for the info... i have looked in the search icon and did find some good stuff, but was more of asking what kind of motor i should swap it out for... im not rich but can put some money into it. im looking around 2k for a mid class engine so i can also have fun with it...

A later-model SR, but 2k gets you the motor setup. Not the supporting mods, wiring, labor, etc etc etc.

well i can get the labor for free since my friend knows and owns a 240sx, he already did an engine swap in his. but i wanted to hear from all of you guys on what engine i should buy. i want to use it for everyday use and also have fun.... by fun i mean drift....

what motor has your friend swapped?
You could swap in a dohc ka, then when you get more money slap a turbo on it.
2k is not enough to do a solid sr swap, unlesss you find some mad bargains.

2k i have but can save up for 5 with in 2 month. where would a good place/website to buy a motor and also the support gear for it... exp: radiator, gages, fuel pump? also will it pass smog in CA. if i am going to use it for everyday use i want to make sure it is legal on the street.
