Guide: How to Use Sea Foam! PICS

Hey guys,
Just to start off, I finally found Sea Foam from a local automotive dealer near Toronto. Here is a write up of what I did to use Sea Foam, Im sure other people have their own methods, but this is picture detailed so those dummies like me can do it too. :dancingco

1. Divide the can/cans into portions. Most people divide it into 1/3's. But I used a can and a half and divided it into 3 portions of 1/2 a can each.

2. Keeping the car off, pour one portion into the gas tank.

3. Keeping the car still off, pour one portion into the oil reservoir.

4. While the car is still off, disconnect the Brake Booster Hose between the Brake Booster and Intake Manifold. You need to pinch a little metal piece and slide it down, then wiggle the booster and pull really hard up to get it off, its tight. Here are some pictures for the handicapped and the wetawded. (Which was me before)

GOOD, You finally managed to use some muscle to wiggle that thing off.
Now turn on your car. The revs should be low and it will sound like your car wants to stall. Use a funnel with a small opening and stick it into the brake booster line and SLOWLY VERY SLOWLY pour the last portion of Sea foam down the funnel. At an extremely slow rate...your engine will sound like it wants to stall...then slow the pouring maybe even stop until it revs higher again, then keep pouring. Dont worry if it takes a few min or longer to pour the damn thing in. If your car does stall cause you have no patience, then simply turn it on again.

Now once its all in. I turned off my car. And reconnected the Brake Booster Hose. Then turn your car back on for approximately 20-30min until all the white smoke has cleared out for 5 min or so. When I first revved my engine after I poured everything in. This is what it will look like. YOU WANT WHITE SMOKE, NOT BLACK.

LAST STEP: Once all the smoke is done. Id strongly suggest you find a time to change your oil, you dont have to be rushed but soon would be good. And also change your spark plugs and possibly your o2 sensor.

YOUR ARE NOW DONE. You will now enjoy the miracle that everyone knows to be called SEA FOAM. BTW: If you have anymore questions you can pm me here, or e-mail me at chi_chen@rogers.com. And Also tahnks to someone on these boards with aim: trigtm I read his post and basically did what he stated, but now Im posting pics. If anythings wrong, feel free to flame me. Wait on second thought...ahh whatever, flame away.

Never heard of that, but its a possibility. BTW I tried hosting all these pictures on Geocities, but its still showing x's to some people. You can always copy and paste into the address bar and the pictures work fine. But they dont want to seem to connect to this forum. Any ideas people?

Damn you for having the same wheels and tires as me. Someone might mistake my car for you puny one.

Also is it neccessary to take a picture of the gas cap? I think people can figure that one out. Lastly it's much easier to take the brake booster hose and just shove it in the can. It's a vaccum hose and sucks everything right up, that way you don't need a funnel.

Ok I looked at those pictures again and it's freaking me out how we have the same exact car from the rear 3/4 view. Is that an a'pexi N1 exhaust too?

It basically kills all that carbon buildup in your intake manifold, engine, and a whole bunch of other things. I can go fetch the can in my garage but Im lazy. It says a whole list of things it cleans. People swear by this stuff. Gives you better idle too.

And unfrgivn, Ive never seen your car, but if its as sexy as mine, that is awesome. I just put on my rims yesterday though, 17x7 w/ 215/45/17 Yoka AVS ES 100 and 17x8 in rear with 245/40/17 same tires. I painted my brake caliper too, in one of the pics it looks like I have nail polish, its NOT nail polish, its brake caliper paint. and Im getting a type X wing soon to fix that duct tape of a trunk I have.

You have the EXACT same wheels and tire sizes I do. What about that exhaust?

Yeah the picture of my website, shows it in a clear measuring container, and its green. Is it suppose to be a pale blue colour? Both cans were the same colour and theres only one type of Sea Foam for this kinda stuff. Besides the Spray can, this is the liquid pouring one.

my guess is that they put the huge ass warning and tinted the seafoam green as to prevent anyone from drinking it (dunno why you would want to but hey, who knows?).
i guess state side you dont need to have the warning or the bizzare colouring.
