Ok I have a guy thats wnats to sell me a 91 se 5 speed for 800 is it worth it.. Second I have to v8 motors are they easy to swap in a 240sx and run ok. Or do i have to just choose from one of the 5. The guy said new motor has 70k on it what kind of engine is it.... thanks for your help guys

dont put a v8 in a 240sx....theres no point to it. it sounds cool, but its just not worth the money...there are many other options.

im buying a 90' 240sx coupe for $500. Missing the hood, and left quater panel but comes with an automatic-manual conversion.

$800's for an SE is a good deal.. If I remeber correctly se's have lsd, rear wiper, hicas and a moonroof... assuming the body is decent and it runs and drives I would jump all over that.

^^all se's dont have lsd or hicas. my 91 hb se has a rear wiper and moonroof but no lsd or hicas....only hicas models had lsd

The cheapest I could find that was running fine was around $1300. Nice find man :D.

Don't waste your time with a v8, is this your first car? How long have you been driving? If you havn't been driving long I would buy the car and get used to driving. Safety comes before speed man.

First car?

No not my first car I have 97 ramair that runs 12.8s at 108 and have had a geo turbo storm I know its a geo but I dont bash on the 4cylynder world I have owned ls1s to zo6s..... I just want to get I guess a turbo in this motor it has 46k on rebuilt engine. and it only needs a paint job... body good very good in fact.. I just need to ask with that engine for now is a turbo a good route or all bolt on like headers... I have all boltons on my cars...

Second rear end now sometimes when I backred up tonight, first night with car rear end sounded like something was rubbing. Now from having rearwheel drive cars how often do you have to check the rears.....:supercool

no v8, but nice find, i would keep the stock motor in for now if it only has 70k and go more for suspension andminor engine mods. also maintenance is somethign to factor in.

I am not trying to sell on here but I have a 89" 240sx Coupe with a blown engine and 117k on the chasis to sell. I live in Kansas so I may post it on a Kansas City paper. After getting tired of an aimless project I just went out a purchased a 95" S14 with an SR20DET for 8K.

I got my 90 se for 860 running and in good condition only one major dent and needs some paint but it runs really nice.

hell if u can get the rebuilt KA running and it only has 46k on it after the rebuild, boost it up, dont be skurred.

timing chain

Update yes Im going to boost it already have a deal with someone to go get everything minus intercooler. Second it makes a weird noise under load right in front of fan I guess its the timing chain any suggestions guys is it hard to do when are you suppose to change the timing chain in these cars....
