This is going to be my first post for fsr but i keep updated through it just don't post, mostly read and laugh at the funny threads. Anyways just wanted to get local peoples opinion on a possible buy. It is a GT2871R (a little on the smaller side but packs a decent punch) turbo with about 2k miles (supposedly) on it downside is that one bolt on the turbine housing is missing and apparently he crossed threaded the tapped hole too. So was wondering if a simple machine shop can rethread it or will buying a new turbine housing fix it??....or any other suggestions would be good or if it is even a good buy overall? Besides that everything seems good, the deal is $650 shipped. this kinda beats buying this thing brand new cause it will probably cost about $1300 new (including shipping and tax) so it is about half off. Budget is tight because have other parts to buy in order to make it work including a nice tune so trying to save some $$ cause i would much rather buy new then used of course but really gonna break the wallet. Here are some pix from the seller. hope the links work
any knowledge and help will be appreciated!

Well there is also a story behind it, kinda long thats why i didnt want to write a novel for you guys, this is an ebay deal for me. the item isn't posted anymore because it was sold (i lost, second highest bid, went for $730 +$50 shipping bs) winner got it and he again "supposedly" crossthreaded with a bolt, not seller to make things more clear, but the first buyer. asked for $$ back from seller and so it got returned. The only reason given for the bolt missing was that he took it off to access the oil or water line, forgot which one and lost it, so i was like that its no biggie just get another bolt easy as that right plus ebay is pretty good about buyers filing claims and getting their $$ back so i went for it but lost. The reason being for selling is that he upgraded for a bigger turbo as well. I now get the second chance offer so i just bargained a bit for $650 shipped (maybe i should have went lower). Thinking about it more just makes me doubt the deal more but i'm going to try to get more info from the seller and if i do purchase will probably make sure i can get $$ back if something really is wrong with it through ebay/paypal again due to it being the second time so dont know how that works with them. just needed to hear from someone else that probably has more experience has to say about the crossthreading issue too thx!
