Me and my buddy are having this agrument about which turbo is bigger! We know the the gti-r is good form 305-315 whp, what about the gt28r??

i thought the Pulsar T28 had a higher A/R than the GT28RS. I know the S14 and S15 T28 are the same except for a different material used for the wheel in the S15 T28.

 

The difference in the material used could be a factor. Regardless I doubt you'll notice a real difference in power. :12dunno

 

the GTir turbo is bigger but isnt ball bearing so it doesnt spool up as fast. Its not really a T28, its a bit of a Nissan mongrel hybrid. If you put it on an s15 motor it will produce slightly higher numbers but a quite different power curve. Im pretty sure its the biggest turbo Nissan put on a production performance car... could be wrong though...

 

I think the Z31 turbo was t3 based and slightly larger.

 

the z31 isnt a real car, its more like the ugly chick you sleep with to make up time between the hot ones.

 

GTiR turbo = .86 hotside (same hotside as GT2871R-GT3076R)
The S15 turbo = .64 hotside (same turbo as Disco Potato)

 

GTiR Turbo: Garret TB2804 (T3/T25 combination -> Compressor = 60mm, 60 trim in .60A/R -> Turbine = 53mm, 79 trim in .86A/R)

S15 Turbo: Garret T28 SB8001 T04B housing (Compressor = 60mm, 60 trim in .60A/R -> Turbine = 53mm, 62 trim in .64A/R)

most Z31 turbos are T3's with a standard T3 wheel, 60 Trim T3 compressor, .63 A/R turbine housing *I think*
