ok so i got my 240 yesterday and drive it home. Ran great NO problems. pulls strong as hell to. then this mornin i drive to breakfast witht eh family. didnt got but 5 miles. we ate and i headed home and all of a sudden theres no power.The engine is idleing really rough and i have to keep the pedal down about half throttle jus to keep it alive. got it home and now it sits waiting. heres what ive done so far. wires,plugs, dizzy cap,rotor.Ive tested all plugs and they are firing but num3,4 plugs are wet with gas and unburned.idk what else to do!!! HELP guys

#3 and #4 are firing but not igniting the gas. ive tested all the plugs and there fine! it will idle sometimes at 1000rpms but most of the time it jus dies. i doesnt back fire jus blows white smoke (its the gas being burnt in the exhaust)

white smoke most of the time means burning antifreeze so this could be a head gasket problem. Head gasket could be broken and leaking antifreeze into the cylinder.

yea he is right white smoke most of the time is antifreeze, do a compression test and leak down test....before thinking of doin anything else, cause that issue will have to be fix first

even though it smells like straight gas??

it could be more then one thing,
check the water level in the rad.
check the plugs and make sure they are right and not flip
then we can go from there

flushed the radiator a couple days ago(dude was using straight water). so its been topped off and the level hasn lost ne at all. plugs are all good. ive triple checked.

ok then check you injectors, you might have a leaking injector that is fouling the plug, flip them around an see if the problem goes to 1 and 2

never seen two go bad at once but you never know

theyev all been checked. none are stuck closed or open. or leaking. and they fire jus fine. also replaced the ICM today to see if it would help no luck

i would try a leak down test still, less then an hour of your time to do it

Possible vacuum leak? The flexible neck right before the intake manifold broke on my car and I had to hold the gas down to start it and to even keep it idling, stumbled and missed like a mo fo too.

turned out to be the HG. dam thing was GONE between 3 and 4

Check your distributor timing...

Did you get it 180 out?

Timing chains back on correctly?

Engine Ground wires connected?

check check and double check. cept for my cams. i think the timing is off on them. ive looked online for stuff but not much help. suggestions?
