How much better is this car than mine?

I own a Nissan Altima 98 GXE. It's got the exact same engine the 95 - 98 240sx has (not sure if all models have this), and I know how this car feels to drive and it's speed, and yes, it's an automatic. The curb weight on this vehicle is approx around 3000 lbs (2972 lbs exact) and the 240sx's are only about 200 - 350 lbs lighter stock, I believe.

So how much better is this car really than mine? This is an honest question. Any more questions let me know?

Well the weight ratios are different, steering is way better, someone correct me if i. Wrong but i beleive the ka in the 240 is slightly different like how the hardbody engines are

So handleing is better. gottcha. I'm looking into getting a lude or a 240 but I don't know which one. I'm trying to get a feel with compare to my car, and in my research I found out the engines are same. From what I read.

Not a lot of people ask for a ride all at once due to the lack of back seat. The gearing is completely different like stated power to weight is increased. Rwd is easier to work on. Power transfer is better. As for the engine they are basically the same. From their completely different. Ask your self if you want the sports car with no room or the family mobile. If you mod either it's gonna be a money pit but that's part of the game.

I'm on my phone so I can't see your location but both the 240 and the prelude are prone to being stolen. The prelude will get better mpg. The 240 has more room for power bc of motor swaps and people even get to around 800 hp on the ka-t setups, just go on ka-t.org and look at the dyno sheets. I'm sure you have atleast one friend who's got a rwd car (not a truck or ur moms cord explorer)
Have em drive you around on back roads a little or something. You should get the idea

First off, the 240 will be better handling and quicker. You are losing a lot of power through your FWD and slushbox. Second, stepping into a Prelude isn't much better than an Altima. Preludes are obese and probably heavier than your Altima, and they are underpowered for their weight. If you want to stick with FWD and Nissan, look for a 2005+ Altima with the VQ (V6) motor. They are relatively quick and not very expensive anymore. I think you can get an SE with a manual transmission, but I know for sure the SE-R came with a manual.

Well, I'm not looking to get an altima, new one that is. I really still want a 240, but if you're telling me a lude isn't much better, that's kinda depressing considering they're so cheep considering where I live (on average ~4000 for a decent one).

I appreciate all the information guys, learned a lot.

If you want the Prelude, get it, I'm not really trying to discourage you. Yes, they are heavy. However, they do have that rather large 2.2L motor that responds to mods pretty well.
