2 days ago i bought my 92 240sx for 600 dollars. its got a salvage title with a perfectly straight frame and body... shady stuff imo

130k miles, dohc, 5 speed, lsd rear, all primer black, dark green underneath, bad thermo, lots of oil leaks (gurdge and grime all over engine) bad timing chain tensioner, BEAT tranny although it still goes into gears... nismo shifter, blown speaker, missing a hubcap.... the lights dont pop up right away sometimes... gotta give it a few minutes to warm up i guess...

when i got it, there was almost no oil in it... and the shifter was half way installed....

does anybody have any experience with reconstructing a title??? im not sure if i need an ASE cert mechanic to fill out the packet for me or anything like that....

Not really...
auto
needs new headlights
fuel gauge doesnt work
i just helicoiled the #1 spark plug hole, but I had to take the head and do it from behind.
passenger side quarter was replaced, not a superb job but the color blending is really good
+no rust :D

I got a new tire and spare A/C condensor with it.

$4500 for my '97 (120K miles)

Funny-ish story: my mom drove my kouki after i got it and fell in love w/it. She started asking around, and found a friend of a friend who had a '95 that he was trying to sell. The guy was a mechanic and was going to give the car to his son, but the two of them were having a fight, and the guy wanted to get rid of it, so my mom got a '95 240 w/30,000 miles for 3000. Not too bad.....she always jokes about how her car is better than mine, lol.
