How much should it cost for your average body shop to remove a s13 spoiler and touch-up the paint?

I'm currently in the market and found a pretty good deal on a 91 fastback but can't stand the stock rear spoiler!

Thanks,

Buy the car.........rip the ugly peice of shit sponge raft off but make sure u do it right unscrewing it...........lather up the bondo.......get it nice and smooth......take it to a body shop and have them paint it. Do it that way will cost you 200 at most.

I couldn't figure out what to do ethier. I had that crappy spoiler and it looks like it started to fall off so the previous owner used all kinds of glue to try and keep it on there. Needless to say it looked like shit. I thought about taking it off, cleaning the crap off of it, and try to just weld it myself. The get it painted.

I decided against it and just went to a local junkyard and bought a spolierless, rustfree hatch. I'll just primer it for now and get it painted later in the year sometime. The other way just seemed like a pain in the ass and might have ended up costing more or look like crap. Good luck.

Yeah, the easiest and probobly cheapest is to just buy a used one without a spoiler like RuskeR says.
thats what i did.

if you cant find one in the junkyard dont be afraid to pull it off and try practicing your fiberglass or bondo skills. you cant really mess it up much more than it is and then you can have some practice in some body work.

but thats easy for me to say cause i dont really give a fuck what my paint looks like.

You just have to look around at different junkyards. When I picked up my hatch from a local yard I met someone on another 240 board that said he looked up north at a more popular yard and they wanted close to $250 and I got it for $21.99. Just have to be patient.
