My title might come off as being a little cocky but it is the truth. In this thread you will see my 100% commintment for doing it the right way the first time with the best parts that money can buy. This is how all beginner drift builds should look, but I understand most people can't afford the ballerness that I am about to unleash. I am also practicing what I have always preached and this car is going to be a full blown suspension whore so I can get my technique down without having to rely on power. So folks here we go, feel free to ask any questions!

Glad you a baller but I would have to disagree. Get the basics then learn how to drift with that then advance your build with your skill. If you can't use the parts to their full potential it's just a waste of money and not to mention if it is your first car YOU WILL PUT IT IN A WALL and then you just wasted lots of good parts. Now if you already know how to drift then awesome good on you do it.

I am reminded of a drift build on another forum where the guy was a rookie spent a year building a car just for this, spent close to 10k and then first track day totalled it and lost alot of money.
I'm not saying this is going to be you and I hope it's not I am just giving a friendly warning.

I hope you pull this off and I am subsribed to follow cuz it should be a good build.

Good luck dude.:thumbsup

Just my .02 again not trying to be a flamer...

Yea I most certainly know how to drift and this isn't my first drift car this is just the template I think everyone should use if they have the funds. It is also my first ground up build. O, and I already stuffed this car into the wall at saratoga speedway in stock form with a welded diff lol no power means high entry speeds but 70 was a little too high.

heres some pics from said event:

yea theres a few parking lot drift event. There are a couple events each year up at the moticello motorsports club road course and an event every month at the road course in englishtown for club loose.

they are supposed to be paving the infield of that circle track for next season so it should be pretty sick next year.

That's a good list and I agree, you should go with high quality parts, in the first place. High quality suspension parts are designed to save your car in the event of an accident. They are designed to break away and save your frame/suspension mounting points. Also, I am not going to trust my life to a shoddy suspension piece. I put lots of stress on my suspension, on a weekly basis, and will never go with anything less than high quality parts (I have Ikeya Formula right now).

plus with spl if your car crashes because of a defect in their product they will pay for damages

Very nice choice on Coils. I was thinking about the five's once upon a time but meh. I'm diggin the Fortune's so far.

Let us know how it rides, I seen 1 or 2 reviews on the 7's and they said it rode very nice for how high the rate's are.

also nice list. I was getting tired of seeing ISIS, CS, and MR all over the place...

you will not see shit brands on my car that is one thing a vowed when I bought it. I have always preached high end parts and I am no hypocrit. Even tein and pbm were a little iffy for me but I will let it slide (literally).

I paid $1500 for them btw

i would go with stock s14 inners and spl outters

the only real difference between tein inners and s14's is that there is more room for adjustment on the tein's

spl outters are like $200 plus $50 for some s14 inners from autozone and they have a lifetime warranty. PM me and I can see if my buddy can get you a deal on the spl outters he is a distributor and got me mine at wholesale.
