How To Fix Your Power Window Pics Inside
Does your driverside window not work? I've found out the mystery and it's free to fix. Here was my symptoms the window would simply just not work at all and I heard a slight clicking from inside the door panel.
I took the door panel off by removing the 4 bolts on the bottom of the door one in the door handle and one in the part where your hand fits to shut the door. You then have to pull the plastic out where the door handle is that you just took the bolt out of and the same where your window switch is. After you have done all the there is only one little plastic rivit holding it on which will pop out when you pull on the panel. Lift straight up on the panel and it should come right off.
After your inside the door panel you will notice a box shown below it's the amplifier thats what go's bad. I used my friends good amp in my car so thats how I knew mine was bad. Rather than buying a new amp or searching around for a used one you can fix yours. On the top where the prongs are where the switch plugs into it's black and you can pop the top off with a small flat head screwdriver or somthing. after that the board will simply pull out it's on little tracks and slides out easily. After you get it out thats where you will need to solder. All you have to do is solder one of connectors back on I could barely see how it was messed up but it was. Once you solder the connector it should work again. Try it out before putting everything back together.
PIC 1: The part you are looking for inside the door panel
PIC 2: The part you need to pop off with a flat head screwdriver to reveal the circuit board
Pic 3: The board after I solder it notice the allen wrench pointing to the part that need soldered on mine.
PIC 4: Another pic after I soldered it.
This may not solve everyones p/w problem but I think it should solve a good bit of them because I've noticed alot of people posting on here had the same symptoms as me. Please try this if your window is messed up and let me know if it works. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
