ive heard the iac vale only really comes into play to compensate for the AC kicking on. can i leave it off of my custom (ebay style) intake manifold and get by with adjusting idle right at the plate? Im already halfway there as the manifold has no holes or anything for iac:smacked49
does the tps need the iac or is the iac just dependant on tps? the TB is a 90mm wilson manifolds

whoever told you that, they pwned you. It is obviously to idle, considering it is called an idle air control valve. so if you like to idle use it. as far as i know, there is no manageable to idle w/o it.. the tps has nothing to do with the tps, the tps is there to determine load on the engine, the iacv is there to allow air to flow behind the throttle plate when said plate is closed

Your car will not run with out the iacv not right anyways.....everytime you let off the throttle your ecu will not be able to find idle and it will bounce up and down may i suggest just drilling a hole and tapping in some screws into the back of your generic mani so it will not see turbulant air going into the throttle but will see the pressure more accuratly and be better able to control idle......o and by the way the tps tells the ecu how open the throttle is and helps control fuel dumping and what not blah blah sooooooo its needed as well...no tps = rich conditions

nah the power fc didnt like the fact i didnt have a/c to do its inital setup so it always ran like shit on idle...it would idle up and down untill it shut its self off and it hasnt done it since i did away with it
