dood... awesome pick up......... i honestly think you should keep it, insurance permitting... it' be real easy to dissasmble the interior, clean the parts that need cleaning... put a couple bucket racing type seats in there, get a rear seat delete (they don't make em for S14 like they do the Fox bodies and the SN95s that i know of) just tear it all apart, clean it, replace the carpet for sure... and drive it around for a while.

and like jordy said, you just may fall in love with the car... for around a 1k you can have a 200BHP KA in there, and these S14's a torqy, nimble, and really fun to drive, i mean really fun... even the stock suspension (others will disagree), is pretty decent, for DD status anyways, hold the road pretty well with minimal body roll (under DD status, a different story at the track) only thing after that, get a paint job, and that thing is clean... as far as costing alot of money to make it fast, you could get an SR swap, total install for around 4-4500 bucks, kick the boost up and be running with your mustang all day... i have a 07 mustang GT/CS, it runs 13.8s all day on street tires, so i know where you're coming from... but ever since i got my S14... i've been pouring money into it cause it's just that fun of a car.. and it doesn't have the 3600lb weight my stang has... hell with me in it and a 1/4 tank of gas it's only like 2700lbs (est)

well u can just do a sr swap in it. or first get that motor running see how it treats you and if its good turbo it. im sure u can easily find a setup for the ka24de. im sure u like ur mustang for being rear wheel , well now u got that and handling and looks better, and more sexness in it. i say sell the mustang if anything
 
and yeah if ur a i love american car type of dude , u can always throw a v8 in this bitch u got alot of options with engine choice when it comes to a 240.
 
For a guy that just came out of Mustangs, I'd second the V8 swap. The LS1 from the Cen IV Camaro is the hot swap (or any LS for that matter). That's about $3K in parts and install. Or you can turbo the crap out of your stock motor. You can build the turbo system for about $1000 from junkyard parts. Or sell it as a shell for about $1000-$2000. You can beat that Mustang of your with that setup (running about 16 psi of boost). Have fun with that car, it's totally worth the money building it up. Oh and yes you are about the luckiest SOB on this site. As you can see a lot of people here would give their left nut to get a car like that, even with the flooding damage.

16 psi of boost on stock ka bottom end?
It's been done with 30 psi yes, but reliably on an engine with unknown maintenence?
I wouldn't advise doing that.
if you do, i'd go ahead and start saving money for a new engine.
 
^^^Well I didn't mean on the stock bottom end. You'd have to build it up a little more. Sorry for the miscue.
 
yeah i say pull out that ka rebuild it. and turbo it. or do a sr swap i dont now how much it would cost to do it in the u.s. but up here in canada i swapped my sr redtop in my s14 for 50 dollars, thas what the wiring cost me lucky for me i have a garage at my disposal its not myns my friend works there. yeah but thas just swapping it in, for the motor ull spend around 1500 in the u.s. for a good 1 and ull want to go Front mount intercooler so ur looking at like 350- 400 for used. and yeah fuel pump u need more powerful 1.
 
i don't think guy guy really cares.... he hasn't posted in a hot minute... oh well, cause looks like a great find and the guy knows a thing or two about cars.... oh well
