i had a lower O ring on the #3 injector blow out on me. I fixed it on the side of the road and drove it home. The next day it started right up but smoked real bad and stalled after a couple seconds. Now its too the point where i need to be open throttle to get it to fire. Smoke smells like fuel. all 4 plugs are swimming in fuel.

All 4 injectors OHM'd out at 11.2 and none of them are leaking
timing is right on
new pressure reg and vacuum line
new plugs and wires cleaned the contacts on cap
plugs are sparking strong on MSD coil
switched out MAF
cleaned TB - IAVC with MAF cleaner
EGR Has been capped with new seal
plenty of fuel pressure

:12dunno

Any ideas?! i'll try anything right about now!

Mine kouki had a kind of similar problem, turns out the computer faulted, and had to be replaced. Then a tear in the housing of the wire to the Oxygen sensor caused it to short, flood the car with fuel, and stall. Once the O2 sensor wiring and computer had been replaced (along with a brand new maf) the problem was fixed.

I would pull the fuel rail and make sure the other injectors as not leaking

You can check the MAF by unplugging it and see if the car will idle without it

Check for Vacuum leaks (no vacuum = high fuel pressure)

You said "Plenty of Fuel Pressure" Define plenty

I already pulled the rail- no leaks
unplugged and swapped mafs- same results
no vacuum leaks<replaced again
"plenty of fuel pressure"- i should of said good fuel pressure <43-44 psi>
cleaned and oiled the K&N. . . lol

I STILL have not found an ecu so i havnt tried that yet.

keep the ideas comin!

When you find an ecu, make sure it is from a state which has smog regulations congruent with the state you are in, otherwise the ecu will be programmed differently and it might not pass a smog test. I lucked out with mine in terms of accounting for EGR stuff.

California is the only Odd ECU...

The other 49 states are the same

Also, of course your plugs are swimming you're flooring your car when you start it. I would check the injectors and also see if you can find a buddy with a 240 and keep swapping parts until you figure out the one you need.

I got my hands on 2 different dohc ecus. I put the first ecu in and it fired right up, but about 4 or 5 seconds later it started to idle rough until it died about 20 seconds later. Second ecu had same results. both times i did not have it open throttle to start. Each time i start it, it revs up like normal. Its just getting a sh!t ton of fuel. i checked the injectors again and still not leaking... i even put all 4 different injectors in.

Is there anything else i should try?!

Im about to throw the KA out the window!

it isn't the KA... it can happen to any fuel injected engine... even the SR

You are running too rich:

Fuel Pressure Regulator is bad
Bad/Leaking injectors
Bad/Leaking lower O-rings
Bad O2 sensor
Bad MAF

You Said:
i should of said good fuel pressure <43-44 psi>
43psi is only on system prime and Wide Open Throttle

34psi is at idle

have you consulted the Factory Service Manual yet? ( I know.. that is a wild thought)

I wasnt serious about throwing the KA away, im just annoyed with the problem.

i'll check fuel pressure tomorrow to see what im at off the throttle.

I dont understand why the car starts right up and idles sooo smoothe at 1100rpm and about 7 secs later it suddenly drops rpm and struggles to stay running... Possible all 3 mafs i tried bad???
