Hey everyone, I'm new to the 240sx game, and will be starting up a project sometime late this winter. I'm coming from the dsm world, and quite frankly, I am bored with them. I work for a performance shop here in MN, and was thinking of branching out to a different platform, now that I have a lot more resources at my disposal.
I am dead set on building a v8 s13 240sx of some sort. My plan is, to buy a clean shell, swap in a LQ9 (ridding of the truck accessories, and replacing with ls1 accessories), and mating that with a t56 6 speed. I have been reading up on the swap, and what it takes, so not too concerned with the basics. While I am out enjoying the LQ, I plan to build an LsX motor of some kind (most likely an Ls2) for boost. Low comp pistons, ported heads, cam, the works (again, work for one of the larger performance shops in the country, so have resources to utilize). For the boost, I plan to run t4 holsets of some sort (hx35 or 8 blade hx40's?). My main concern is,
where will I fit these turbo's? I am unfamiliar with the 240 engine bay, and how much room will be there. Ideally, I would like twin top mount manifolds to be built, but am not sure if that is at all possible. This is all in the planning stages, and I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, if its not possible in the first place. If any of you are running similar setups, feel free to pitch in the info you have. Even if you're running an LsX motor of some kind, feedback on what space is available will be much appreciated. Overall, I plan to have a 400hp 240 with the LQ9, with a cam and a tune, then going for something like 800whp after the built motor is dropped in (thats a rough estimate, since I am sure it won't be fast enough for long

)
Any input is appreciated, I admit, I am a newb when it comes to 240's, and will need some help getting started.
Thanks!
Dan.
