What are your thoughts on MS? I have a buddy who has used or is using MS on his '83 Z car. He has had great success with the tuning. He claims for it to be very user freindly and works great. Especially the V3.

Any comlaints or cons about MS I should know?

from what i know its pretty good. u just gotta assemble it yourself lol. which i wouldnt trust myself to do. the great thing is that its pretty cheap compared to other ems systems cause you do it all yourself. theres some forums that help with tuning it so i dont think its that hard. but its always a plus if you know someone with the same car that has it so they can help u out.
Z cars and the KA24 are pretty similar in terms of electronics - we've got an install guide for the 240SX here:

How to MegaSquirt your Nissan 240sx

The learning curve can be a bit steeper than some other aftermarket ECUs, and instead of having a single standard feature set, a lot of features are added on their own.

We've also just come out with a build it yourself kit with a 240SX connector on it, and are looking for test cars. Email us at [email protected] if you're interested.
Im thinking of going megasquirtPNP on my 96 240sx. I want to dump the MAF and so speed density. Id be willing to be a test mule for it. I work at GE sensing so i repair PCB's all day. I think i could handle the build no problem.

That's a bit of a long drive to Georgia, but if bringing the car to our shop for 2-3 weeks is an option, let me know.

Otherwise, we're about to release a S13 base map that should be in the ballpark (it is a SOHC car we're using, so it will need some tuning to run its best on a DOHC car), and can help with a tentative jumper guide.
Do y'all have a RB25det in S13 PNP???

I am in Columbia SC about to put an RB in my car actually, I wouldn't mind the drive! Lol

Not yet, but once we get our next series of MSPNPs out, drop us a line at [email protected]. We might do an MSPNP for the RB series if there's enough demand for it, but we're waiting on a couple firmware features that aren't fully tested and some hardware I've got on the drawing board before this can happen. RBs have a couple special challenges.
Yeah thats what I am running into. I LOVE megasquirt. My buddies 280z is amazing, you probably know him, Adam Silver...

anywho. Yeah I will definitely be giving you a call.
hey just my 2cents:
megasquirt is awesome. I use it in my car and its now runnin alot better than wiht the stock ECU. I got a 302 in my s13 and with the stock computer I couldnt run my cam well without a dyno tune, Tune wouldve cost like 4 bills, ms assembled cost 5. Worth it all day long. Also Matt is an awesome guy. He has been helpin me figure out issue over at MSEFI, customer service that I thought didnt exist.
