IDK if it's just me but the 19's are too much.
Still more baller then may car will evar be :(
Yeah... Thinking the same here for a while now.... i'm on the lookout for 18's.... Got a co-worker that wants the 19s. Maybe I'll find some nice 18s while I'm up in JDM land again... :hope:

i agree with scoot, 18's and about 1.5" lower and your car will be sitting pretty. imo i'd say work emotion xd9's, but thats just me..

I was about to go and put the injectors in when I decided to confirm time on Sunday for tuning. My tuner (Sean), said that I should wait until I get to the shop on Sunday to put it in. That being said, no new pics to look at...
Really?
I'm pretty sure it's not all that hard for you to go in there and just change the Injector Size & Latency no?
But I suppose.
Sean does decent work.

Wow im loving your build.:gc-drool1: It took me 5 hours to read it all but it was worth it.
Looks gorgeous, Good luck with the tune! Cant wait for next update!
Thanks man! Will have an update with numbers next week. :heyhey

Not sure on the wheels yet, but we'll see. As far as lower, it'll depend on the wheels I choose and will keep in mind RECON height :p

Actually, I did put them in (pics following), but it was idling really lean (wideband was showing 16 - 17), and would die out if I let go the throttle. So I think it'll be safer for me to keep the 550's in until I get to his shop. I don't want to blow things up before I get there..:icon_rolleyes:

Fittings finally came in. Won't install the fuel filter until I have more free time.

Decided to install the Fuel pressure gauge

Since it was due, I decided to treat it to a nice drink. Surprised that the local Napa stocks these on the shelves.

3 more days. :icon_rolleyes:

I didn't catch this build till relatively recently... So I went back about 8 pages and skimmed from there. I chuckled thru quite a bit at the nickels and dimes that came up along the way... because I absolutely feel the sting of going WAY over-budget every day :D

Totally legit... a lot of outstanding work to boot!

I admit, I'm a little shocked that with all the quality parts you have in the right places... that you elected to run a China turbo. Really hope the ass pain you went thru to install it pays off with good dyno numbers and longevity. Definitely anxious to see what she'll make with it.

Keep it up man~

Thank you very much sir! It's been a trip and a few times nerve-racking especially when I look at the current totals....

Since it was given to me, I kinda wanted to see how long they last. I did a search on the web about it, and saw quite an amount of comments on AUS forums, so I was curious. We'll see if curiosity either gets the better of me or not :icon_rolleyes:

A couple of things came in today that I had ordered. RAN*UP and an thermal intake gasket.

Read several places and had both positive and negative reviews. But the idea of the SR running smoother is nice. Since it's here, I'll put it in tomorrow before I go to the dyno. I'm just hoping it'll make it feel smoother as some of the others before me had said.

As for the gasket, I'll put it in at the same time I do the fuel filter. Tomorrow's the day, so I'm a little anxious to see how that turbo performs... :icon_rolleyes:

Good luck man. Hope you didn't pay too much for that gasket- I have one still in original packing I'll prolly never use. I pussed out in favor of OEM when I put her together lol.

Good luck at the dyno~

Woah.
In all honesty, big waste on the RS*R Run Up add.
All it is, is a ZDDP in a bottle.
Use M1 HM 10w40 and you'll be fine.
Can, it just feels smoother today.

Thanks man.
I prolly would've picked it up from ya.

At the dyno now. Initial... 315hp/278ftlb.

Will have more info and dyno sheet later.

Update. Before I went, I added the RAN*UP since I already had room for it (oil was half quart low).

Went to go see Sean at Munky Wurks for my update. So I installed the ID725s again and he went and put it on the dyno. During one the initial runs, he asked me if I moved the CAS. I don't remember myself moving it, and told him so. He told me it looked it someone moved it as I lost power (run was showing around 209hp). So he moved it back and the next run, he got 270hp.

During the following runs, the Dynapak was giving him problems so he was troubleshooting that while I waited, but told me he was almost done with the tune and be around 310. But I told him that I have all day and can wait until he resolves it, so he got to work on getting that fixed.

Once that was done, he did some more runs and the following last run (sudio is bad. I think my finger was on the mic):

Here's the dyno sheets:

Final Numbers:
315.4 hp and 278.7 ftlb

Sean mentioned to me that it was an alright turbo, but the power band wasn't as good as a legit one (e.g. garrett). Overall, I'm satisfied as I broke 300. Now, let's see how long this'll last, or I end up upgrading sooner than later. :icon_rolleyes:
