And what A fuckin dissapointment!

Well my engine funally came from www.jazzproparts.com I bought a r33 rb26 with a rb25 trans. Well when it comes to my house the first thing i knotice it that It still has the RB26 Transmission on it!!:131furiou !!! then after looking at it some more i find out that the guys who said it comes with mafs and every thing lied because there are no mafs there. so Im then like wtf! I look around the other side to find out most of the metal lines are crimped and or broken! so then i got realy pissed! and started saying o shit i may even have a r32 motor. so i start asken jonpowells and he tells me that I acctually have a r32!!! So i then call up the guy and ask him with the fuck is this that he sent me ( not literally but i felt like saying it) and why do i have this trans on the car and no mafs! (I didnt look at the oil lines yet acctually i called him when i got home about the trans) so he then tells me that the transmission is on its way and that he doesnt know know why there are no mafs and also i tell him that i spacifaclly orderd the r33 rb26 and it was a r32. then he started acting like he doesnt know what im talking about which i know he does because he is the one that i specified about getting a r33 not a r32. so he tells me he didnt know there a differacne and that transmission has been shipped and the reason that it wasnt on the car is that "we forgot to put it on" so im like when is it gonna be here and hes like it has already been shipped! so i then hang up and start looking at it more and im lookin into the inlet pipe on the turbo and notice there is a shhit load of grim in there so i take it off to inspec the turbo and what do i find!
I find out the the turbine wont even fuckin Move!!! so i check out the other one and its the same thing so now im really pissed and look for what else is fucked up I go round to the intake side of the engine to find that there is no oil cooler and alot of the coolant lines are also broken and the pipes that they connect to are bent! and also on the crank pully the edges are broken off!

So my question to you guys is WHAT SHOULD I DO!! and how can i return it if it is possible?
and also i bought it from jazzproparts.com and got a fuckin recet from oskowa or some shit like that from a place in canada.

And if you guys want pics i will post some

Yeah,

Jazzproparts is just the middleman for Osaka, so are JDMMotors and Plan B.

If you had searched, you would have found that Osaka is a BIG no-no.

Sorry to hear that, man. I'd try to get them to refund your money, even if you have to pay for shipping back.

Please don't put that thing in your car!

BTW, Please post pics too.

I also just went ot there website to find out they charge some bull shit 35 percent restocking fee which is 1400 dollars! And i was thinking y the hell would they charge me a restocking fee if they sent me the wrong MOTOR!

Hey I got my SR from Jazz too not too long ago. it was exactly as stated, and everything was fine. Sorry to hear what you have got but yes, as Jarou111 said, they are just the middle man of Osaka Jdm motors in Canada.
Inside of my turbo was hella dirty too, but i took it off and soak that sucker overnight and now its super clean and boosted nice also !
Good luck , let us know what happen .

You're gonna spend about $1400, maybe more to get that thing to run well.

BTW, since that car looks like it was in an accident, if that crank pulley was hit like that when the car was running, you could have MAJOR motor damage from stress on the internals.

I have had to RB26 bug the past few days. But after reading this I am kinda scared to give up my mechanicly sound/good running RB25 for a mystery RB26.

Sorry to hear of another Osaka rip off..... here is the inside of my RB26 motor I got from them last year. If you pitch a big enough bitch to them (in a nice way at first) you may get half your money back as I did. Every part that could be ruined on my motor was. It musta had a oil pump fail, then they just ran it till it locked up.
BTW, it looked nicer than yours does on the outside, so can't go by that. My turbo were froze up also, and when I pulled all the plugs, and used a compression tester (with a battery and cables hooked to the starter) I knew right then I was beat.... then I tore it down to find the whole motor was toasted...

Yep, that's kind of buggered up. That sucks. Just be thankfull you got an engine though, alot of people I know have been screwed out of thousands and received nothing.

Osaka is bad news.. I've been hearing shit about them since they started that business. I doubt they'll help you with anything. Show them that you're a petient guy and they might.. who knows.

The oil lines can be replaced, that's not hard. If you can do this swap, I'm sure you'll be able to find a fix for them. I'd go stainless.

The crank pulley looks ok, just a bit chipped on the edge? If the belt can still ride on the grooves it'll be fine. My crank pulley was totally busted and I'm still looking for one.

Not sure about that oil cooler. I'd send them that picture and see if they can source you one.

Your dented wastegate is probably fine, you can test it with a vacuum.

Take the turbo's off and dissasemble them. Clean them up and they're probably fine. After sitting for long periods of time they will seize up like that because of the oil/coolant that was in them. If they're fucked, RB26 turbo's are very cheap, I'm sure you can find some new ones.

About the engine being an R32. I don't think that's a terrible thing. The only big problem I see is with the crank collar, which can be modified easily.

Heh.. good luck. Post more pictures as you tear into it. If you're keeping it that is.

Yea, I was going thru mine anyways, no matter what cond it came in... but it still pisses you off that a rotten bastard gets away with this time after time.

I ended up getting $1,500 of my $3,000 back from them, then he sent me a very nice 97 R33 rb26 for $2,000 shipped. So, I ended up with 2 motors for $3,500

Try talking to a guy called John. I have most of that stuff you need (oil/water lines) because I went all custom. Once you figure out what your gonna do, get back with me on it...

hmmm= get your plane ticket - and go to them - thats the only way you are going to get satifaction- or case the place and robb it while there closed.
i DO NOT LIKE GETING FUCKED OVER----------------------------------
the last time i got screwed was when i bought a carbenfiber food for my s14 - nice hood but the guy charged me for 3 hoods!
so my visa bill was 2100 bux for a hood ..he would not return my money so i got to work and drive 8 hrs down to LA . -lets just say i got my money back.

I think I already know the answer to this, but how did you pay them?? If you lucked out, and didn't send them a money order, you got that ass.... just file a dispute. (but like I said, I think I know already...) :tears

#16 ·
I payed them with a visa so I think i can get my money back and I dont think they can even charge me a fee because they sent the wrong engine.

If you payed on a credit card:

Call the bank and have them do a chargeback, then contact osaka and have them pay for return shipping.

If it was a visa debit then you may be SOL.

#20 ·
yes so all I have to do is call the bank and then they have to take the engine back and pay for shipping.

If it was with a credit card that can be charged back, be sure to take a few freebees off their pos motor for your troubles :thumbsup

I'd for sure remove the alt and starter. Its nice to have a spare for those wear parts... :greddy:

Sweet! so where should i get my RB from now? and for under4k?

#23 ·
Fuck it, send them a long block, strip that bitch, if they make you pay for shipping just state that you were trying to save on cost of shipping by removing heavy parts such as the crank and rods/pistons turbo's intake manifold injectors etc.

#24 ·
ill buy the crank and rods and pistons?? :thumbsup

You get it from a company that will send you pictures of the actual engine set before you buy it.

Venus sent me about 20 pictures.
How much did venus want? for r33 rb26?
