I bought and recieved a block that turned out to be damaged:

Here is an over view of the carnage.

So yeah... the #2 rod and cap bit the dust as well as the crank. I'm about to clean the block out thuroughly to see if the piston walls are damaged. If not and the journals look good I do have another crankshaft I can use. My question is, the pistons took a little abuse and got some scaring on the skirts both intake and exhaust side. the #2 piston took a bit more trauma with the scaring. Based on this picture does it look like I can reuse the piston if only for a stock rebuild?

Thanks

(#2 piston is on the right side.)

ummm if the piston in the least little bit looks scarred up at all even one little tiny miniscule mark that means that the piston was rubbin on the wall of the cylinder which means you will deff need to hone all cylinders and possibly rebore. DO NOT use a piston at all if it is marked up in anyway unless your looking for your motor to blow up. Just dont do it. Time for a full rebuild.
