hello everyone, my names jesse olsen. im new to this forum and would like to get to know my way around! i have about 3 or 4 questions to ask you guys. thanks for your time.
ok so number 1. right now i own a honda accord 97 nothing special. im moving to saint george utah soon to attend dixie college. i attended a local college (matc) for an engines class. it was a 8 month class so i feel i learned a decent amount. my question is how hard is it to take a stock 240 with a ka series engine and swap in a sr20. honestly how hard is it?
question 2. how reliable is the sr20 in a 240? is it dumb of me to get rid of my honda just to sport around a 240sx? i need a reliable way to get to work everyday and so far that honda hasnt failed me.
question 3. gas mileage on a sr20?
question 4. if i bought a 240sx already swapped with a sr20 what should i look for to make sure im not being ripped off? antifreeze color? turbo timer? please help!

thank you so much!

Keep the Honda as a daily driver. Like most people with aftermarket mods you will have some down time. Swapping a sr20 should be easy if you have mechanical know how and some friends to help. But it all depends on your level of comfort around cars and the 240sx in general. My recommendation for you is to buy a 240sx as a side project as you drive your Honda as your commuter car.

ok not to be a total pain in the ass but... im pretty insistint that i daily drive this car when im done with it! i will live on campus in college so i wont need a car if it has a little down time. but my whole end goal is to only own one car and that is a 240sx turboed. haha so my whole thing with saint george and me moving there is there is no snow! thats why i want this car because its rear wheel drive and a fun car for down there. can you guys help list some other cars that are fun to build and drive in a snow free environment? i really really want to daily drive a 240!

I've daily driven my car for 8 years and I've had down time for random stuff (dead alternator, dead battery, fuel pump goes bad, sunroof leak, misc broken header flange). I know you're insistent on using this car to DD, but since you're living on campus I doubt you'll be able to service your car on school grounds, unless you have someplace to work. In the end it's your choice, good luck. :)

my plan is to take maybe 4 or 5 college generals you know.. math, english, science crap. then i plan to take one or two automotive classes. basically just so i can have a place to work on my cars. i have a few friends doing that at local colleges and it works out pretty good for them :) i cant decide if i should buy a 240 that already has a swap in it.. or if i should buy one that is bone stock? what do you guys think? where i live stock they go for around 2500 and build they go for around 6k.
