well ive been a member for a while now. this is my first post because all ive been doing is reading up on the tons of valuable info yall got. anywayzz.... i have a 93 fastback and its been dead for a while. i got new ignition wires for it last week and jumped the car. it actually started but at idle the engine shakes like a monkey on crack. i turned up the fuel pressure or whatever its called and that helped barely. anyone know what the problem is or have any suggestion? thanks !

While the car is running in nuetral (or park), Pull the spark plug wires one at a time, and then put them back. If you don't notice a change when you pull one, than you have a dead cylinder in the one with the corresponding plug.

You can also look at your spark plugs. It's a good idea to do that whenever something is wrong with your engine. Lets you know how it is running. If only one of them is all black and gooey, than thats probably a dead cyclinder.

Have you replaced the plugs yet?

yes ive replaced all spark plugs and ignition wires- but for some reason its still shaking - im thinking about just letting it sit for another two months until i get an SR. my friend can get a redtop and have it installed for $2500. I think its a pretty good deal. Well thanks for the help joey and sil-eighty. PAYCE

my friend blew his head and gasket and his water pump...dumbass refiled his coolant resivoir but not the radiator and it didn't suck it up and blew it...neways his was shaking really bad and it was determined that water had gotten in through the broken head gasket and was kixing with the oil i believe??? but yea...check that out
