Alright so I'm thinking of just selling off all my mods (I have a ton more in my room than whats listed in my sig). Just curious what you guys would pay for a 90 240SX, with wide front fenders, modified pignose front, no rust what-so-ever, brand new pearl white paint from 1st gen stealth/3000gt (door jams, doors, interior hatch .. pretty much everything but the bay), metalic black roof, 180SX spoiler, and the mods listed in the sig, PDM sideskirts, and the little pinline indent shaved off, as well as the indent where the black tape goes around the car.

Build 2
Or if the car had S-AFC II, T3/T04E .43/.48 AR,JGS oil lines, wide front and rear fenders (rear fenders molded on), DSM 450CC injectors (JGS Resistors), Walbro 255 FP, custom made fuel rail, gladman performance manifold, and downpipe, Apexi N1 catback, StreetImports 21"x9"x3" FMIC, Koyo aluminum radiator, custom polished IC pipping, Z32 MAF, wide front and rear fenders, 5Zigen FN01's or w/e, 8" in the front, 10 in the rear, 5 lug conversion (PDM front hubs, Z32 rear), Z32 brake conversion, PDM reground cam, oem carbon fiber hood, PDM side skirts, PDM Xenon light conversion (still retains the popups), ACT 6 puck, 1 peice aluminum driveshaft, and the other mods listed in the sig with 135K or so on the engine with perfect compression, car would come completely tuned for about 10-13psi.

Build 3
Or my other thought is just going for broke, rebuilding the entire engine and going with forged oversized pistons (.020 larger) and forged rods, ported and polished head with oversized SI valves, custom sheet metal intake manifold (custom runners as well), (dunno what throttlebody yet) custom fuel rail, 750CC injectors, walbro 255, AEM EMS, custom made equal length tubular manifold with custom downpipe, T3/T4 60-1 (.63AR), Apexi N1 exhaust, StreetImports 24"x12"x3" FMIC possibly a different one but dimensions would be about the same, custom polished IC pipping, not sure which clutch yet, Koyo aluminum radiator, wide front and rear fenders, 5Zigen FN01's or w/e with 8" in the front, 10" in the rear, 5 lug conversion (PDM front hubs, Z32 rear hubs), Z32 big brake conversion, PDM reground cam, 1 peice aluminum driveshaft, S15 front end conversion with HID conversion for the lights, Origin labs body kit, 180SX rear spoiler, Kouki rear tail lights, Pearl white body (door jams, engine bay, everything lol), metallic black roof, the little pinline indent shaved as well as where the black tape goes, custom fiberglass dash (the one I've been planning on making but just did not have time to start this vacation.. being in college sucks!), Street Imports race seats (friend owns them and theyre very nice) with custom brackets of course, the car would also have about a 75 shot on it, and some audio new speakers .. basicly the car would be perfect for showing and racing.
All of these different builds would be on a KA24E. Just curious what you guys would pay for each one if I was to just build my car and sell it as

I'm debating moving onto a new platform (either 3000GT VR4, Evo or possibly BMW, not entirely sure).. hell I may end up doing the third build and end up loving the car so much I don't sell it. But yeah.. thanks for your input guys.

damn no offense, but thats alot of 'what ifs' to be guessing what kinda price range you could sell your car for after all thats said an done. Im sure you already know this, but usually nothing goes how its originally planned, because of problems, complications, parts not working together like they should, ect ect.

I cant think of anything better to add to this thread than the saying:
"You'l never get as much for your car, as you put into it"

So with that being said, unless your getting hell of a deal on those all parts, and know someone who can tune it all for you so its all reliable, Id say your better off selling your car thats running good with decent mods an a fresh paint job, maybe even wait a couple more months til F&F3 comes out =/

^ ^ i'm with him, and "You'l never get as much for your car, as you put into it" is very true 99% of the time you will lose a lot of money especially on performance parts. When it has nice paint and drives, that is the best time to sell it.

heh yeah I know what they say about never getting back what you put into it, just trying to get some info on what people would be willing to throw down for the car!

Fidelity: Mmm would be more than $2200 in this area, either way the car is definitley not being sold until after FnF3.

if your plan is to sell it right after you build it then why build it???
Sometimes a built car can help get rid of it quicker, and I'm banking on the fact that I get my stuff for cheap and the fact that I'd sell after FnF3 to actually make a profit. Not ALL the time will you lose money but most of the time. I think I'm just going to part everything out that I have, finish the body on the car and sell it.

The chances of you making more than you put into it are slim to none. If you plan on selling it I would do it now and don't waste your time and money modding it to turn around and sell it.

You make more money back by parting out a car instead of selling it as a whole and that would defeat the purpose in what your doing.

Might as well spend the money on the new project.

I'd say 4 "now and laters", two packs of Skittles, and three ultra-rare Pokemon cards. :D

Seriously, I have no clue. Like the guys have already said, you will not get out of it nearly what you put into it. Not to mention, there will be zero return for the work/labor that goes in with the parts, which would make it less worth your while. Part out the upgrade pieces, and return the car to stock (or with mild mods at the most), and you'll get the best bang:buck ratio.

...or you could wait for FnF3 to come out and put in a CAI, underglow, Boeing 747 wing, Maxwell House can exhaust (complete with fake turbo sound mod), some stickers, and a light-up shift knob, and sell it for $11K. :p

haha. Yeah I'm desperatley awaiting the release of FnF3 so I can unload this car. I dunno the 240SX has been GREAT for me, I absolutely have loved this car and who knows when I have the body back together and looking nice again I very may well change my mind and keep it. I just want to move onto something new though lol, I've had this car since I was 16 and I'm almost 20 now and owning a 16 year old car is just not what I want. I may even not go onto another project and may just get a 95+ Integra or something and do a few light mods and enjoy a decent DD until after college, granted I'll stick around these parts. Expect to see some turbo 240 parts for sale on the forum soon!

if i could seperate myself from my car, i would and sell it so i can buy an old RS or a GVR4 since i need some AWD action up in here, like mad hardcore. serriously.

that and the RS would be a blast for the gravel roads here heh.

The GVR4 is a DSM though, made in Normal Illinois with the T/E/L ;).
damnit!

I was hoping for some japanese factory :(

i really don't know much about the mistu world...

but im learning!

and that factory now makes the neon (non srt4) and its a good 25-35 minute drive from my house.

wait, nevermind normal IL is by illinois state, which is like 2 hours, I forgot what the neon plant is but its just north of me.

I still want a GVR4, I just won;t pay as much for one now heh ( if i get one )
