i am trying to decide what swap to get. I am trying to build a little drift car at 350rwhp safe... What motor that has the ability to make that on a stock block and head but on a bigger turbo with supporting mods. I am not trying to spend a fortune but i will put some cash for a little project..

So far this is what im deciding but cmon guys help me pick... If you have any other suggestions please go ahead.. keep neg comments to your self :).

Rb20det
SR20 Red Top silivia

And a 1jzgte but the thing is i dont want to go threw a mission to get the swap into a s13.

I am trying to do something simple and will satisfy my needs..

any1 that reads just give me a opinion on what swap to pick from..

Thanks

i had trouble deciding between SR and RB20 when I did mine this summer.... I went with the SR because it was more supported parts wise (finding stuff easy for cheap) and I didnt have to fabricate or buy custom motor mounts. either engine is a great engine in my opinion, either way have fun!

lol, dude, most lf these guys on the boards talk about how good KA's are because they cant afford an sr swap. KA-T's can be done for a little cheaper than an sr swap, but to do them RIGHT, it costs the same, if not more, than an sr.

and at the end of the day, you will have an engine with NA compression with forced induction that doesnt like to rev at all..... if you want to lower the compression ratio, there is even more $$$$$

if you want to easily make your 350whp mark, well, good luck. any normal swap that go into 240's usually only make about 250 - 300 wheel without mods. the rb25 is capable of high horsepower #'s, but comes stock with a ceramic turbo that doesnt like high boost pressure. and sr's are strong motors, but to reach that number you will need a bigger turbo, injectors, and ecu/fuel manage.

oh, and rb20's are WAY overrated. i wouldnt reccomend one for a swap for you. heavier than an sr swap, 2 more cylinders, the same displacement, and less power. and a crappier turbo. all in all dont do that.
