Nah, the majority of mine are in the X-Files area... Haha! Yeah Erik, I'm trying to get something going. Now that I'm making decent money I don't have the time to do anything HUGE as far as cars since I work all the time to make the money to work on them. Kinda sucks, but eh... I'll figure something out.

Haha! See!!! However, I do have QUITE a few in this thread though... Got my new alignment bolts in the mail yesterday. Just have to find a day when I can put them on. Might be on Saturday, might not. :( All I know is that they need to be put on ASAP as the inside of my rear driverside tire is not particularly happy with me right now. :(

just drove ch18518577158175871857815's 1995 M Edition yesterday. It's been a long time since I was behind the wheel of a miata.

BEAUTIFUL!

After I got home I dug back into my old blueprints for an unequal a-arm suspension design to replace the machpherson setup on the 240 to get rid of the horrible understeer, and then there are the plans for a caterham style roadster using nissan components... 1200lb grip rocket!!!!!

all in all it pushed me even closer to being unhappy with 240's haha.

Haha! The Caterham style roadsters are nice... Flyin' Miata sales a kit to build one using Miata components. They seem to go pretty nicely together. :thumbsup

FM uses Westfield chassis and body panels. They are pretty sweet, but if I'm going to have a track car styled like an old 7, its going to have CF panels. Westfield's fiberglass panels supposedly don't hold up well over time. I kinda want one, but I'd much rather have an Elise for the money I'd be spending on parts for a 7.

Btw, most of my posts are in the AL thread or suspension section....which means I'm like...more useful than Calton....hahahaha

Oh, and I was completely unaware that we have a homie on the forums names Gforce.

I = ownd.

my miata is a 96 bitch..and yes im am not very satisfied with my 240 at all anymore.

some asshole decided that it was a good day to put the top down. heh. long story short. i need to buy another roll of clear tape..dave..

Ruh roh... Yeah, top down in COLD weather equals one of two things: new top or more tape. Haha! Sucks to hear. Wish I had a 96 model, it would save me from having to swap a BP in my bay. But eh, it happens...

BTW, hey Jose! Haha!

Jose = Miata owner iirc...so yeah....join us more homie.

Calton, I too wish I had a BP sometimes...but eh....got other things to do before I consider engine swapping. I'm headed to Barber (Motorsports Park) tomorrow for the last PDX of the year and I'm planning to take a ride in a LS6 or LS7 Miata (haven't talked to the owner of the car in a while). Should be fun, to say the least.

ls6? damn son. isnt the engine bigger than the car hahahaha
oh and isnt the handling characteristics of the car completely ruined with that heavy motor?

3-rotor = rollcaged deathtrap! Haha! Plus, it = $$$$$$$$$$$$!!! :( Wish I had more of it to spend, but it happens. The LSX engines are getting more and more popular in the Miata world. Believe it or not though Jakob, when Miata people do swaps like that and set them up, they make sure that A LOT of the original strengths of the car are still available after the swap. With the LSX engines being all-aluminum and the Miata B6 and BP engines being aluminum/cast iron, the weight really isn't that much more than the stock engine IIRC...

LS6 = 400+lbs.
B6 = 290ish lbs
BP = 310ish lbs

Suspension tuning and relocating the steering rack properly helps the Miata keep a lot of its previous nimbleness before it added 150-200lbs to the chassis.

well if its true, then that miata must be one hell of a fun machine!

an LSx series motor would just be insane. i couldnt even imagine it. I can see right now that i'll have to keep myself out of this thread, i'll end up wanting to fuck with the miata, when its supposed to be my daily driver. heh.. and yes im glad i have the 1.8 but it would be nice to have a real oil gauge like the older ones did. my nardi torino wood shift knob and ebrake handle are nice..i was suprised when i found out it was factory.

M Edition then?
Oh, and there's no keeping out of this thread now. You are fuct. You will mod the Miata...and it will become addictive. :D

well since i dont have a miata im not addicted but its pretty intresting in here
