PLEASE HELP!!! Wink mod gone wrong.

today I got my 240sx. Its a good day. I will be asking many questions from the experts (that may be you!) This is my first and most important question for now.
One of the previous owners (owner I acquired from did not drive the car, accept to go drift, it was a toy, as it is to me but I'm a bit more serious about my toys!) tried to perform wink mod, and somehow screwed it up, the result is the left pop-up opening and closing constantly when the headlights are on. This sorta prevents me from driving car at night, lest I wish to be harassed by 5-0.
can anyone help me?
Any info would be much appreciated as this is my first 240 and my first nissan and I have no idea where to begin when it comes to fixing this problem.
