Hey guys, I'm really severely interested in doing a rb25det swap in a 240 but I just want to see what kind of power you guys are making and at what RPMs.
This could also be a good way to see the collection of power all the rb25det owners have. :D
Please post your dyno sheets and your setup. I'd really like to see the dynograph more specifically of a T3/T4 hybrid turbo on a rb25det. I just want to see what kind of power the rb25det pushes on small/medium sized turbos. Thanks guys!

I really wanna see how fast you guys spool, like with a T3/T4 turbo or an oversized T28. I seen some of the large turbo dynographs but I want instant power as fast as possible. Anyone know what setup would give me at leats 400rwhp faster than 5000rpms? Thanks guys. :D

when i had the t3/t4 on it.. full boost at 3800RPM
now with the 60-1 full boost at 4100-4200RPM

400hp is doable with a t3/t4 60trim.. with decent spool up.. i think with a AM intake manifold to shorten up all my piping and lil more boost, i could have got the t3/t4 to hit full boost at like 3400RPM

8psi on both turbos
no dyno sheets yet.. plan on tuning it when i get my clutch, 550s, in this weekend.. then ill be dyno'n it..

Damn, running a T3/T4 with nothing besides a Walbro 255? Have you had any problems running too lean? What are the sizes of the OEM injectors?

The 255L/H Walbro will be good to 500 RWHP. Been proven many many times in the Turbo Buicks.

You will have to get larger injectors to get the most out of the pump though.

spoolinrb25det - what are the trim/wheel specs on your 60-1, is it ball-bearing?

my rb20 put down 180whp in stock trim under stockish 10psi of boost.
i'll try and have dynosheets tommorow.

I have a dyno sheet for my RB25 but it isn't right. The RPM's are way off so my TQ is like %45 of what it should be. I put down 230 WHP with 10 psi of boost, Cone Air filter, and 3" turboback exhaust. Car went 13.8 @ 104 on street tires (2.1 60ft)

Um. I don't see any dyno sheets.

I was under the impression that if you did an RB swap, you'd want to tune with a dyno. Why don't I see dyno sheets, people? Get off the couches and go post some sheets.
;)
Have not yet dynoed the 25, but I am not hitting the dyno to tune it. You do not need a dyno to tune your car. It is rather convenient, but if you have good tools for tuning, you most definitely do not need a dyno.

Next turbo will be the GT35/40R. I suspect that it will not spool too well, but I am looking for 500+rwhp.

that 12.5 was at 303Hp.. never got to run it at 351.. should be good for high 11s
spoolin,

What kind of powerbands did you have on the 60-1 and the t3/t4 (was it 60trim you said?)

Like, you said it spooled at 4k, but how far did it last? I'm too lazy and bad at math to calculate rpms from the dyno speeds.

I'm interested in doing the rb25, but I prefer higher rev's. If I go, say 60-1 shooting for 400rwhp, and only have a powerband from 4k to like 6.5k I'll pass.

Interested in what you have to say,

Having a 4K-7K power band is fine with an RB25. If you notice when you shift through your gear at redline the RPM's never drop below 4K (I think it's around 4500)expect for the 4th - 5th gear shift it may drop out. The turbo I am using is said to spool up by 4100 on a DSM so I am sure I will have full boost plenty early.
