Whats up ONE, i picked this car up about 5 months ago completely bone stock with the KA in it and all, its a 91 hatch, had about 170,000 on it. i ripped the ka out about 4 months ago and sold it off, got a pair of ebay lowering springs (will do until coilovers) and a CXRacing exhaust, rear strut bar and Megan Racing bucket seats. I was working hard to get the money for a sr20 so i picked up a cxracing intercooler and radiator and samco radiator hoses but ended up changing my mind and going with an RB20 which i picked up about a month ago, heres some pics of the process. Car is gonna be painted Brickyard Red

Knockoff vertex body kit came in about a week ago

Side Skirts

BBS 17" Moda Rims

Less Primed/Finished side

Door is glazing putted

Need a new rug, but will work on interior after i get the motor and exterior all set up

One of my favorite parts of the car so far :)

Stock rims are sandblasted/ready for paint, idk what color to do yet, any ideas?

Waiting on prep/paint

My baby <333

Another angle

Sprayed my intake about 20 mins ago, looks cleannn

Throttle body nice and sprayed

Charge pipe is prepped and ready for primer/paint

Intake manifold and throttle body is painted and back on the motor

Intake is painted, tranny is painted

Clean engine bay soooo hungry for an RB

Build was slow, was making money and buying parts but...this week is going to be a good one, im feeling it.

Quarter Panel is all ready for primer, picked up good quality primer for my gun so prob will spray that soon, hopefully this week or next week after the swap

andddd my favorite part of the body work :) my shaved trunk

Picked up a CXracing Radiator and CXracing divorced downpipe

Hooked the transmission up finally, just odds and ends now, till the motors ready to go in!

Uh-Oh, Look whats the new project that was hiding out of sight of my last couple pictures for the last week or so...

KA is ready to get pulled out, and going to pick up the SR soon

Fresh coat of gun primer :) Looks so clean

uggh i just came that RB IS SO SEXY
HAHAHAHAHA My Man!!! Thanks dude, took alot of work to get it looking that pretty
Yeah that RB is sick clean. Looks like a good build! Keep it up.
well one youre painting skills are nice. but 2 youre wasting money painting youre pulley(espically youre damper) and painting youre tranny(what for)?? if you want to "dress up" youre engine fine, but youre better off instead of buying paint getting some other cheaper mods..

and do i spy youre engine sitting on the floor(wtf)?? you need to get that on a stand. then when you ding youre engine pulling it and swapping out the pan is no fun(i know from experience).

the cx stuff is good quality i don't have any complaints about the radiator EXCEPT. that everytime i drain the flkuid you will need a new drain cock washer(they wear away quickly from the heat). make sure to run a dual fan setup though..

who's doing youre harness work?

Had extra paint for the tranny and pulleys so why not lol its gonna be a show car so i might as well make it pretty lol but yeah sitting on "2" 2x4s because the tranny bolts were not long enough to lock the motor to the stand so I figured I would prop it up saying that its going in the car this weekend, ill deff keep that stuff about the radiator in mind, and a local kid but hes not very reliable so idk
go carl h. i always recommend him and hes very reliable(got my harness done by him). hes a moderator on this forum(on the rb/skyline side. shoot him a pm
Where did you get the motor from?
