Spray some WD40, it softens the stuff up. But you need that goo because it prevents water from getting in.
rear tail lghts
Does anybody have any secrets for removing the black goo off the stock tail lights? I want to get it all off before I put them back on so they will fit better hopefully.

Yup. That's sealant. Fit fine from the factory with it on...
