S13 takes a second to shut off and guages stay on?

Well just bought a rb20 swaped s13 and get it home and notice when i turn the key off the engine continues to run for like another minute and shuts off and the guages stay on? Unhooked the battery and does the same thing but guages go out once the car stops running. Seems like the fuel pump is shutting off when i turn the key off causing the engine to starve but everything else stays on. But if i disconect the battery and reconnect it, it turns off the guages and they remain off untill i turn the key and start all over. Any help would be great.

Thanks

It probably means u shouldn't have bought the car I wanted, hahaha a hit me up when ur off work we gotta finish putting my POS back together
Ok the relays inside behind the fuse block, the top blue relay i take that out and the lights go out. Its still runs but no guages. Plugged back in and turn the key on and back off and it stays on then i unplugged every other relay and plug from igntion switch to ecu to every connector in the inside and engine bay and the lights and guages stay on. Its sometimes dont do it but seems to happen more when the car warms up if that makes any sense???
Also found the first turn of the key this that is acc mode if i turn it off and to the first click my wipers turns on and off? Im confused because now the warning lights stay on only sometimes. And ive pulled alot of connectors and when it acts up the only way to turn them off is to pull the top blue relay in the interior fuse panel. But ive switched it with other relays and it still does it.
its supposed to do that, theres a device to keep the car idleing so oil continues to pump through the engine and prevents build up on the turbo. way to go for trying to fix something you didnt know wasnt broken

I dont have a turbo timer, if you believe in those i suggest you go buy a autozone wing and a bottle of nos too. And the gauges stay on untill it kills the battery. Your name is 240 noob so guess you dont have any info to help so dont crap up my thread thanks.
Holy crap. Chill.
His answer was a valid guess. A timer would keep the entire car going, gauges and all. Since you just bought the car, we don't know if you've been over every inch of it to see if one was hidden, as a lot of people will do. At the very least, it bumped your thread so more people can see it.

A turbo timer does its job very well, and if you want to sit in your car or baby it the last few miles, power to you. The only setup I've ever seen that DIDN'T benefit from one was a EJ boxer, as the 2nd coolant reservoir gravity feeds down to the turbo, continuing cooling after the engine shuts off.

His answer was a little rude, yours was very. Play nice please.
