i have a pair of rsx seats, and i was wondering if anyone new what i need to do, and how to install them into my 98 240? thanx

You're kidding, right? Have you even bothered to take your seat out and look at the differences in mounting location between them? Odds are you'll have to cut/weld some, it's not like we all have RSX seats too just waiting for you to ask about them.

if you are talking about the rsx recaro's then all you would need to do is change the rails. and bracket. if so just get the recaro rails and bracket for the 240 and bolt them in... or you could call up wedge engineering and they can do it for you.

thanks for the ppl with useful info, but to the one who wanna be lil skanks about it. Isn't the point of a forum to ask questions and learn about things u dont know? well thats what i thought they were for. Your lil remarks arent even useful ya know

well just a bit of info for u on a forum when u ask a dumb question u will get dumb answers thats just how it goes. this thread was pretty useless. and if u needed one to look at u coulda looked at the DIY section where there is a thread about installing spec-v seats. but that really wouldnt help u that much anyways cuz they are nissan seats not honda seats. i mean what were u really expecting someone to give u an exact write up on these?

Surprise guy, this a 240SX forum, not an RSX forum. No one on here has RSXs in their backyard to run out and test fit seats. The point of a forum is to ask question based on or about the car the forum represents, you don't see people asking how to change the starter on their neon do you?

By the way, beautiful spelling, how old are you, 12?

Since the kid asked such a silly question, do you really think he has the skills to fabricate a seat bracket?
lol!!!!!

Let's help him acquire the skills by supporting him u fucks. Put in whatever seats u want. Just compare, fabricate new brackets, weld some shit, there u go.

Since when is that a silly question? Doubtful he searched but in the 3 years i've been on here I've not once seen a thread about RSX seats in a 240 Why is everyone giving him shit? Because he wants to put Acura seats in a Nissan? No one gives ppl this much shit when they as about Z32 seats and those are way off as well. Wait that must be because those are Nissan seats!! Duh

It's a silly question when you ask a NISSAN specific forum such a question. I can't even spell "R.eS.eX", let alone tell you how to make it fit.

I know what you mean when you say it's a NISSAN specific forum but who is he supposed to ask? A Acura specific forum about putting a Acura seat in a Nissan? Same shit. He would get more help here than a Acura forum simply because there just might be another member who put another seat in their car. There are questions asked all the time about putting other car parts in our cars. Cobra MAFs, J30 Diffs, Escort Fans. Why not seats? Because it's not something alot of people are doing? I mean shit he's most likely going to get the same answer where ever he goes but hey it's worth a try right? At least now he knows that if he has the Recaro RSX seats then all he needs are the rails and brackets.

Honestly,

I figured it was his job to educate us on how it's done, since 99.99% of our members don't have RSX seats laying around. On that note, I've heard they share the same bolt pattern as the Recaro Speed (SRD) seats. Should search Honda-Tech to be sure.

yea i agree some people just feel like building their posts
so sometimes they have nothing better to say
so they prove they have their GED by writing complete sentences while trying to be witty......

i always thought it would be cool to make some custom brackets and stick some s2k seats in, but if im gonna do all that work and spend all that money you might as well make some good aftermarket seats fit. im thinking about trying out the s15 seats if i can find some for a good price in good condition, because they bolt right in and look like they have to be more comfortable than my stockers.

S2000 seats I don't think would be that great simply for the fact that they don't fold. If you don't plan on having anyone in your back seat then I guess it would be cool. Yes i've ridden in RSX seats for long trips, I've sat my ass in them for 8 hours straight on the way to virginia beach. It wasn't fun but have YOU ever ridden in S13 seats for long distances? ESPECIALLY if you have that drivers side rip and and the bar is digging into you? Not fun, if I got free RSX seats I would want to do that as well......not really I would probably sell them on a RSX forum and buy a set of S14 seats.

well, i finally broke down and spent my little savings on some nice s15 seats, front and rear. hopefully, these will help overcome the slight back pains my tein suspension was giving me (im not used to a stiff ride i guess).
