Honestly, if you can put that turbo on there and have it run reliably and run well for not too much money, I would do that for now. If you don't like it just drift the hell out of it and learn the tools of the trade (or autox or rally, whatever floats your boat), then wait for the motor to blow, sell the engine for scrap/parts and get the motor you want to drop in. It'll be a great learning experience putting that kit together and installing it, whether you keep it in the long run or not.

first off, do a compression test and anything above 155psi is safe usually: ( cyl1 155......cly2 158......cly3 160......cly4 155). It just shouldnt have any drastic changes in numbers from each cylinder.

Then like stated above, piece together a basic t25 kit for cheap, its been done for like $700 but thats not a safe tune it will range more around $1200.No need for the RB unless you wanna push big numbers with big bucks. I would recommend ka-t.org, that site is a lot more helpful with kat stuff than this place, you can find many different low hp builds that people have had great luck with. Just do it right the first time around, dont just throw a kit on there with no tune... O ya and search lol

honnestly its probaly going to cost the same to have a ka-t as an rb20. but theres tons of KA engines floating around the net for $400-$500 and the ka was actualy sold in cars in the US so parts ar easier to find. screw the SR, because thats the way i roll.
