I asked about the seatbelt recall.

"Hi i have a 93 nissan 240sx and I was calling to see if you still honored recalls for it."
"What's your vin number?"

"Sorry there are no recalls on your vehicle." *Hangs up"

What the hell? What should I do?

They may have already done it. At most dealers when the recall is done it is removed from the system and will not show as being "on your vehicle." This is typically done to prevent repeat repairs.

knowing that the dealer does not carry parts for 240s any more, you are shit out of luck most likely. You can either do a car fax, or call Nissan's customer support. 800-647-7261

i tried to get a dealer to fix mine as well, i was told that they only warranty the actual belt.

By law, manufacturers are supposed to make enough parts for the cars they sold for 10 years after the last production, after that, they keep em in warehouses till they are sold. Which you can imagine is getting thinner, since it's 2009.

Im with curry, the recall may have been done, and shows off your vin. You can try another dealer, but instead of saying "blah blah seat belt recall"...just say can you tell me if there are any OPEN recalls on this vehicle.

Im not saying trust the dealer since recently I looked up some parts for my truck, called not so advanced auto and asked for loaded cals and had the guy told me we dont have those, I dont know of anyone that sells something like that, all while I looked at them on their website, not to mention im a mechanic and have put a few sets on cars. They are made by Morse.
(FYI: Loaded calipers = replacement calipers that come with brake pads)
