spongy brake pedal

background info:

i have a small leak between the booster and mc. every two thousand or so miles the brake light will come on, so i'll refill. i was going to have to keep doing this until i either just bought a new mc or upgraded to z32 stuff.

problem:

brake light came on a few days ago. i didn't have time to refill it until today.
when i started the car up this morning, the brake pedal was pretty spongy.
when i got home tonight i refilled the resevoir. brake pedal was still spongy. i checked the area around the booster/mc and saw no fresh leaks. after driving to work, i re-checked the resevoir and the fluid level had not changed. i was hoping it would go down a little, but alas, no.

diagnosis:

since the fluid level didn't drop, i'm sure i have no leaky lines, but i'll check them tomorrow anyway.
bad mc?...the mc seems a little loose on the booster...i'll try tightening that up
???..anything i'm forgeting?
anybody ever have this problem/mc crapping out?

this isn't the 1st time i've been low and refilled...so i don't know what's different about today... :12dunno

edit: checked lines on firewall and vacuum hose. All seem fine.

you will continue to have a spongy brake until you fix the leak and bleed the whole brake system. also some holes in brake lines wil let air in but no fluid out. when u bleed the system start with the furthest caliper from the MC, right rear, left rear, right front left front. if you have ABS this will change slightly.
