Ever herd of a SR20 block not fitting stock size pistons? I am going to have to bore to get my 86.5 pistons to fit. How is this possible? This is word from my mechanic. He told me how short it was for the pistons and he double checked everything. Anyone ever herd of this?

you mean the 86.5mm pistons wont fit into the stock block...because the stock block is 86mm....making the block smaller, so the pistons wont fit. Nothing to do with the head.

Ive heard of it because they are oversized pistons amd you need oto have the block boredout to fit them, just like every other single engine in the world that uses oversized pistons.

LOL I wasn't really sober at the moment of posting. I didn't know the stock size was 86 either. That clears everything up. I ment to say block. You guys kill people on here for stupid things.

That's well said!!!!! And question, I know of a place that sell sales the CP pistons in the stock size 86mm for simple build ups, so what's the real reason why people go for 86.5mm and 87mm bores????
