This is what I've found so far by putting together parts from the HeavyThrottle swap package..

Their package 4,999+shipping..

Mine is like 4800 or so with shipping and with what I think would be equal or some better parts.

From what I've read.. MBC = no no and an EBC would be best.. not sure which Electronic Boost Controller to get though but noticed a higher end one was around 450-500..

i've been running a parren mbc for the last year. holds right at 12psi, never spiked or crept. its more stable than my rommmates avcr on his wrx.

Really?? A lot of guys here in Arizona have lost their engines because of MBC.

yeah really. never spiked. but if you wanna spend an extra 400 for a bc, go for it. i'm eventually going to get a greddy profec b spec II

you could save alot of money by not buying the guage pods and making your own, relocating your stock battery to the trunk for the price of new longer cable, a Megan downpipe works just as well as Greddy, and well id use a MBC for now, and later upgrade. hey if you have the money do it all now. good luck.

How are those hks ssqvs used. Are you referring to the ebay ones from Japan? Also, don't forget to add some Mobil 1 oil and Redline MT-90 gear oil. Those fluids can add up.

downpipe is good enough for an exhaust as long as you dont care about the noise. MBC arent all that bad. I made a thread on making one in the DIY section. I used it for a good 4 months before i got a Greddy Profec B controller. It held boost solid with no spiking up untill the turbo would run out of breathe. Only costs $10 to make one yourself too. Also i kind of dislike my Greddy EBC. Doesnt read boost accurately and constantly needs asjusted for the different temps outside. HKS or Apexi might be better for electronic boost control.

i ahve a turbo xs dual stage MBC with no problems at all. i am not even going to get an EBC. just gonna switch to the HiPower dual stage MBC so i can run 20+psi.
