my dad used to have a 740 turbo. volvos are nice cars until electrical problems set in... i recently sold my DD 850 because its electrical issues were going to cost me more than the car was worth... it effectively totalled itself.

They're suprisingly fun cars to drive. The 740 turbo (I used to own one) has a solid rear axle, but the identical looking 940 turbo has IRS. If he was going to spend all that money on a car, he shoulda gone w/ the 940.

Even with the solid rear axle, I was really quite amazed at how well it handled. Also, they're pretty light cars (~1.5 tons), so they'd be great for drifting.

I'd like to see one at D1! That'd be hilarious.
