Ok..let's try this again. Silicon just wasn't strong enough to hold the lens covers on and i was able to just pull it part with bit of force.

any suggestions besides...RTV...?

i did some research for this...people both have used 3M Windo Weld Ribbon Sealer and the Nissan sealer with good sucess. biggest difference? PRICE.
my local dealer wants...
Nissan OEM sealer B6553-89915
33.64 a unit.

OR order it online, but still about $25 shipped. a box.
MyNismo.com - NISSAN OEM Sealer

and...

Napa Auto Parts
3M Windo Weld Ribbon Sealer 3/8 inchx15ft., 08622
$13.03

can you say holy crap price difference?

I just gotta get as much silicon off as possible and let it dry out once again and all the residual left overs out of it. then seal it off with that. will update.

So, the 3M Windo Weld Ribbon Sealer [3/8 inchx15ft, 08622] worked so awesome. It took me good two hours to completely clean off all the silicon residue. but after that it was just matter of laying the sealer around the grooves, and using the non-stick paper the sealer comes with on top of the sealer to press it down into the grooves. and well, I just got done doing this so it was at a room temperature, it was still firm but had bit of flexibility on it still that I didn't even think about using heatgun on it to make a good seal. Just man handel the covers into the sealer and clamp it in around the edges with good set of large pliers. Since the cover is clear, you'll be able to see any spots that didn't make a good contact. I didn't even have to let it sit or anything so I put it right on the car along with the clear corner lights.

How, I am very furious about the front bumper so I will be looking to purposly run the front bumper down as much as possible so it'll force me to go back to oem front bumper or buy another front aero bumper.

This shit pisses me off how poor the fitment is.

Teh end. my car's are boring.

:fonix:

i dont know how you can drift with a FRESH body kit. I would be super super careful, or put the OEM stuff for the shenanigans, and the kit for street driving ;)

^that is the best/worst idea ever. :)

I'm doing it...just because I love the simplicity of the S-chassis and I refuse to get another S13 chassis. So...two S14's it is. if I can get a S15 with out selling one of my testicles and live on 1 kidney, i would.

Its either another S14, because I don't want to deal with an S13.

Or I branch out and get a 06-07 WRX / 350Z and stay in debt..... OR not stay in debt and roll with an E36 M3 or E30
