yea the gay ass cops took my car. my brother was drivin it and he was going speed limit and everything. they pulled him over and my bro asked " what's the problem? " the cop had no response and just asked for license and all that. apparently, there was a rookie cop next to him and he was teaching him how to handle this type of situation. in other words..the cops were just really bored and had to pull him over maybe just because the car is "hooked up.' so now my car is gone and yea..don't know what's gonna happen. does anyone know what happens after this? i have the sr swap and everything so yeah. what now? ugh im pissed!!!:131furiou:131furiou:131furiou:131furiou

dude what a dick bag.

thats why your car got impounded. b.c of the no insurance the cop can not legally let a uninsured driver drive a vehicle on the road!! sort of like if you get pulled over and you get a DUI there not going to give you a ticket and then let you drive off, they impund your car.

IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR SR!!!! it had to do with your ignorant ass letting someone with no insurance drive your car. come to think of it you probably dont have insurance either do you

no insurance... duh, maybe that's why the car was taken from you.

I hate this type of thread more than any other. YOU chose to put an illegal motor in your car. YOU chose to otherwise modify your car in a way that is illegal in the state you live in. YOU let your brother drive your car when you damn well knew he had no insurance. so your brother get pulled over because he was driving your illegaly modified car without insurance. Dont call the cop gay because he was doing his job. Yeah sure, it sucks you guys have so many restrictions. But to hate the cop for catching your brother when he shouldnt have been behind the wheel is retarded. And ever think maybe he's got his boss up his ass telling him there are too many illegaly modified cars around and he wants something done with them? He's doing his job... grow up...

thats bull it all depends on the cop and how you talk to them. last month i got pulled over for street racing, 65mph on a 35mph street. yeah im stupid and i will never do it again. anyways i have a modified exhaust and sr as well as no insurance, the thing is if the cop isnt an complete asshole and if ur respectfull the way i was he will give u a break. i said yes sir every time i talk to him or responded, well in the end he told asked me if i wanted to keep my license and car, and said we never had the conversation, gave me a ticket for no insurance and modified exhaust. even though u might not like them they r the law and u have to respect that

Its all pretty stupid. The police officer had no right to pull you over without cause. They are supposed to, by law, tell you why if asked. But this is California. So technicaly in court, you could get your car back and have no tickets at all. Because he had no reason to pull you over. Kinda like, If you confess to something after being arested but before you are read your Miranda rights. But when I have done things like this before, The lawyer is usually more hassle than its worth.
Thats the problems with being young in California and being into motorsports. :) Its not like Steve McQueens days of raceing on Mulholland Drive.

I got pulled over twice last month. Burbank and Arcadia. Both times I didnt have insurance and in Arcadia, I didnt even have registration info. I talked my way out both times. But I am experienced at it and am also a 30 year old professional. :)

Cant catch me riding dirty!!!LOL

Probable cause is a world that is thrown around. He could pretty much say anything as a reason. But to be honest I don't really feel sympathetic for you. You let him drive and knew he had no insurance and you modified you car illegally. We're all young once and make mistakes even though I'm not that old either. I've been there done that thing before. So man up and take whatever consequences for your actions. Learn from it and move on and stop bitchin.

Cops in Cali aren't all that bad. I live in SD where the import scene is pretty big. The biggest reason people get pulled over is because of stupid shit. Mainly disobeying traffic laws. If you speed, run red lights, drive bad, street race etc. Sooner or later YOU WILL BITE THE BULLET. I have had an SR20 in my ride for over a 1 year (daily driven). I have never had any problems with cops. I do have a perfect driving record and my car isnt super flashly so it doesn't draw attention.

You can do a motor swap to your car and not worry about getting caught. You just have be smart about it.

There is a thread in board that says everything you can do to minimise being caught.
