the essentials for a KAT fuel system?

I am now aware of what i have to do to make my internals handle boost but I am still uncertain of what I have to do to make my fuel system do the saem. I can get silvia injectors pretty easy, the question is what i have to do to make my ecu be able to support a boosted engine. with my alltrac celica I just got bigger injectors and a fuel pressure regulator to sort of trick the ECU, However that is factory programed ecu that was made for a turbo application. the 240sx was never turbocharged stock so im wondering if I can or cant do that same thing that I did with my celica, just add more fuel and fuel pressure. what should I do? whats the cheapest route?

your all over the place here with this post. if you plan on building your engine with forged parts to handle higher levels of boost then 370cc injectors are way too small for your application. your going to need something much larger to take full advantage of your built engine.

its hard for me to reccomend what type of parts you need for your KAT fuel system since i really dont know what your goals are. if you can post up a general idea of what you want to do i can better help.

i agree with the post above. Without any kind of info on what you are planning for HP goals it is a hard call to make. to the second post their info isnt quite correct. An AEM EMS and a Megasquirt are both stand alone systems. A piggy- back system is something like a Greddy e-manage. If your HP goals are low, i think that a piggy back system would be decent. If you are looking for more than just an average turbo system you are definitely going to want a stand-alone at some point.

Um, both the EMS and megasquirt are stand alone, not piggy back.

like I said im not building the motor for more than 250-270- crank hp, I dont want to push that much power for it is my daily driver. Im building a motor so that I can rely on this car to NOT break down and for me NOT to blow out hg's and stock unknown milage stock internals. Im just doing what I said so I can be safe.Afrer all its better to be safe than sorry.... I just want the bare minimum to run a max of 280 crank hp......silvia injectors i think would work, if not ill get bigger ones.I dont want to spend alot on a fuel system. and BTW im thinking about just a greddy turbo kit and a FMIC

considering what kinds of questions that you are asking I think that a pre-made kit with everything you need would be wise. You didnt say that you wanted 250-275hp in this thread that was in your other one (which i found after i replied). As far as your HP goals you arent really going to need much past an upgraded fuel pump and injectors run by a piggyback system IMOP (right nissan gurus, please correct if i am wrong). honestly i wouldnt suggest a greddy kit, i have seen other kits for the some price that seem way better, but I am a SOHC guy so you probably need to get the details from the DOHC people. A good resource is www.ka-t.org. I have found out tons of useful info on there. Good luck

The Greddy kit already comes with a piggy-back system and injectors, it has everything you'll need and with the intercooler you should be right in your goal range. The only thing you should get with it if you're worried about reliability is a fuel pressure reg. and high flow pump. Shouldn't be too much to worry about since it's made by Greddy. With their kit you don't need to touch internals so don't even trip about that, a built bottom end is usually for race motors, not a daily driver.

Uh... what the hell? MegaSquirt is a cheap standalone system, and the AEM EMS is an incredibly powerful and VERY expensive standalone.

I personally will be running 450CC injectors, Greddy FPR, EManage Ultimate, and Walbro 255fp. This will all be on a T3/T04E .43/.48. I may go with a larger turbo though in which case I'll do larger injectors.

lol sorry sicks13 just read your last thread where you talked about why you want to redo the bottom, never mind all the bottom end stuff i said then, go for it, sounds like you're gonna have a dope daily driver:thumbsup
MY fuel management consist of a, afc II, Hacked maf, 550cc injectors, jgy customs top feed fuel rail, walbro fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator(ebay).
works great at 13psi with only the pistons replaced(aries).FYI
