Hey, My name is Jayson. I'm hoping to buy a 240sx but probably not fro a month or two more since I need to pay off some expenses and paint my current car. Basically I want an S13 FB, stock if I can find one and do it up my way. I'm not looking for a blazingly fast car just something thats fun to drive and that wont be an embarassment to drive around in. Pretty much do the engine a little, get a good sound system goin, some nice rims and a good paint job.
Hey, I'm Justin from Illinois, just joined the forum (about 5 mins ago ) I own an '89 240sx coupe. I only got it about 2 weeks ago so not much in the way of mods have been done yet, just a K&N air filter, and some clear lenses for the front turn signals (I made them myself out of a sheet of lexan ). I've been thinking of making it into a drift car but right at the moment I'm just learning to drive stick (first car with standard transmisson). Well I suppose that all, see ya on the forums
I've been browsing these forums for a short while now and have posted a bit.
My name is Derek. I live in So Cal (desert region). Im 20yrs old and go to college. I've owned an '89 240sx for about 8 months now. It's a coupe (my fav ). I love the pignose and pop up headlights. And I love my stock ghetto old school 2 tone silver/gray paint (but it could definitly use a fresh painting). My only mods at this point are "custom" air intake (hehe dont ask about the "custom" part), front and rear strut bars, and some Tein Coilovers (basic). I'm here to learn what I can. I definitly don't want to ever sell my car. God I love it to death. I mean it really is a pleasure to drive; even more so as I upgrade my suspension. Someday I'll make it faster, but right now my top priority is suspension/handling, then looks. I don't have a lot that I wan't done to my car looks wise except for new wheels, a paint job, and to fix this HUGE dent on my rear passenger side quarter panel (it's not that huge but i mean, its really f'ingugly.....
hey my names brian and i'm from wi. i own a 89 hatchback and its pretty much a piece right now. i'm going to college right now for engine machining and taking a night class for port and polishing heads (the right way!). i got my auto collision degree already. i am building up my stock ka24e engine 'cuz i like the engine (though its got some rough edges right now). nice and torquey. i plan to specialize in ka24e's in the future and open a shop called Weak Sister Motorsports (got the idea for the shop title out of a magazine. lol) posting things on the internet isn't something i'm used to doing.
Hello everyone. My name's Edgar. I recently purchased a black '92 S13 from a buddy, the car currently needs head work (my guess, overheated and cracked them..) and some minor body work. I hope to learn and progress in the 240SX; I've owned and worked on Z32's for 3 years now and recently completed my TT swap and 5 sp. conversion. I see some similarities between the S13 and Z32 and therefore feel confident to tackle the heads on my KA24. I love my new car! Thanks for reading!
Hay gess i sould of posted in here but i made my own thread opp's! o well i have a 90' hatckback with the front end conversion , up here in washington there's a bunch of 89 junk and people like lot's of money :greddy: for there junk , so the 90 is all i could find . the ka24e suck's , i need to get rid of that stuff. other then that it's very fun!
I'm from Europe where I’m at the moment an IT tech for a large Japanese car company,
I found this forum in my search for info regarding the SX.
Since I’m from Europe a 240sx is a very rare thing here,
The most of the Sx's are S13 (1.8 turbo), S14 coupe.
Now I found a US spec 240SX COUPE s13 with a 2.4 instead of the Europe 1.8 engine for a reasonable price.
The prob is that I don't know a lot about them since they are not that common here, I have been reading up on the Europe model since I’m planning to buy one (getting fed up of driving my company car and looking again for some fun to fill my weekends).
I'm still trying to find out if it's worth the trouble of importing here (she is in a near country or just go for the Europe model)
So here I’m hoping to learn a lot.
