I'm Steve. I Live in Southern OR when in School, otherwise Redding, CA (nor-cal). I drive a 93 Silvia Clone (Coupe w/ SR and front end). I've had my car for over 3 years, and built it all myself.

Wow!!!

The title says it all. I'm new to the 240 platform and have been looking for all this information, but couldn't find much anywhere. Low and behold, I was on another site and saw a link to these forums. WOW!! All the information I was looking for is right here. I'm sure I'll have some more questions, but I'll surf for a while first. I would have done it anyway, even if it wasn't required by forum law. Anyway, I was looking for a fun to drive RWD platform that got decent gas mileage and I could possibly get sideways if it was what I wanted to do. The 240 was the only one that I saw that I wanted, and since it is the premiere drift platform as well, I figured what the hell! So, now I'm on the hunt for a convertible (I like being different), and trying to see what I may like to do with it. I don't plan on doing anything too drastic (sorry guys, no SR20 swap here). Looking to hit around 300 HP, some body conversions, some interior upgrades, but trying to keep the 20MPG while doing it all. So, I'll post again, when I get some more interesting questions, as there is a wealth of knowledge here that I need to sift through. Thanks everyone for putting all this information in one place, and I'll post at you later!!!:1bowdown oh, yeah, I'm keith, i live in NJ, and I can't wait to get my hands on a 240!!!!

Hi folks!

I come from Quebec City, Canada.

For now my daily ride is a 2002 Maxima SE, HLSD 6speed tranny. Tokico Blues and HTech springs, PowerSlot rotors/Hawk HP+ on each corner...these are mainly the mods I did so far on this car, runs and pulls really good, really comfy ride indeed!

I'll be looking shortly for a 1998 240SX as a summer car project so I'm seeking here some info regarding this particular car.

Finally i got me this,(exactly what i wanted) 1998 240sx silver moss 5sp,
mods, hotshot headers and magnaflow muffler. yesterday i went to my friends house, and he had a set of g35 wheels laying around so i took them:dancingna , and i also took that magnaflow, it was allready installed on the factory piping that goes all they way to the secondary cat, so installation was really simple to rusty nutz, and thats it. well here it is, before and after pics.

Howdy Guys

Hey Guys.
I just joined the forums today, I've been reading other forums for awhile and just found out about these today. Currently i do own a car, but i believe she is done for. A 1986 Nissan Maxima, 185,000 on the old girl. She's seen better days and now I think her time has come. The car bluebooks at less than $500 and there are so many problems with it, three mechanicsm not including myselfm couldnt even figure out what was wrong with it. Obviously it's having engine problems, which to say the least arent really "worth" fixing. Beyond that, the heater core ruptured in May and i live ay 7,500 ft and we are already getting snow and low temps of 24 degrees, going without a heater is pretty drastic, especially when you have class at 9am some days and work at 10am. The suspension was shot since the day i got it, dash ripped apart, no exhaust, smoking. She's done. Well before her, I really wanted a 240, my neighbor had an s13 with the now typical sr20 swap, ginormous HKS intercooler, that could eat a child and some nice wheels. all in all it was clean, and dyno'ed at 340 something at the wheels, nice car. But i really liked the s14 better. Back when i started driving, i had the option of a 95 240sx automatic or a 91 mr2 standard transmission. I, being the dummy took the mr2, later to find out that working on one is the biggest bitch in the world. I later sold that and begun my long era or car shopping, sleeing crashing, modding, and whatever else you can do with a car. Im almost done with college, and through college i drove a 92 bronco and now this 86 maxima. the bronco gets 12mpg, so i go broke driving it, and the maxima got about 25mpg, but now shes just not worth the effort. Of course when i went to start looking at/for 95-98 240s, i found i couldnt even find one in my own state. (AZ) There were 2 in the autotrader, both modded with sr20s and a handfull of other things, one guy wants 14,500 for one and 17,000 for the other, which is in PRIMER paint.. geez. so i started shopping around. I cant find a 95 SE 5spd for less than 6000 that hasnt been abused or tricked out by someone. Im not money bags so i know ill be driving on the KA for awhile before i take on a swap of some sort, so i dont want one that's been abused, but thats probably not gonna happen, since the ones i did find were $6,995 and $7,200. For a car that goes for 4,500 blue book. well to wrap up my mini rant, im now in the market for a 95 240 SE 5spd, which i hope i can find by december.

*end rant*
