ValveTech: Tomei Solid Pivot vs HKS Lash Killer

Just to recap, I am running a T3/T04E 57 Trim powered SR20DET in a 74 260Z (pictures here: http://www.fototime.com/inv/53AADE7048A7A61). This car is strictly for roadrace duty and will rarely (if ever) see the street. I am looking to be revving this thing to between 7500-8000rpm quite regularly and am planning a valvetrain upgrade as a result.

So far the limited information I have on these 2 kits are that the Tomei kit still retains the rocker arm but replaces the hydraulic lifter with a solid pivot. I am told however that the HKS kit replaces the rocker arm as well and uses a Honda-style shim system. I will be upgrading valve springs and retainers regardless of which kit I purchase.

My real questions are: Is the above information accurate? If it is, which cams work with the Tomei pivots? Are there any benefits to either product? Why is the HKS kit double the price of Tomei's?

Thanks in advance!
