Here, you can have another teaser of the stance life going on in my garage right now, hahaha. Definitely need adjustable upper control arms to fix all this camber. I got stuck on two bolts or I would be done already. And I got the jack stuck under the rear of the car because I PB blasted the front bolts to get them loose and moved onto the much easier rears and dropped it first to check the adjustments. Probably raise it up another half inch or so. Have to get the fronts on and see how it settles as a whole. This is with the front lifted up right now.

ugh, my wheels are too wide in the front to get the car as low as I would like :( I need to get bolt on spacers now.
I wondered if that might happen. Happened to my buddy on his s13. Wasn't sure if it would be the same for an s14.

It's weird. Like, it's not even to the point that it's tucking, but it's rubbing on the lower spring perch. The thing is, there is a little washer, that's almost like an eccentric bolt. The upper bolt hole where the coilover bolts into the knuckle is an oval shape instead of circular, meaning the bolt can slide, but it came with a little square washer with 4 different size sides, so depending on how you put it in, will push or pull camber out. Or at least that's what I'm thinking. I may just have it on wrong, but I'm trying to do research on it, and I'm getting nothing. I've moved it around, but it's such a pain to keep trying over and over again, lol. The car had about 3-5 mm of clearance before I made this final adjustment to the ride height, but Idk. And the camber is set to max negative. Even raised up higher on positive camber, it rubs the perch. It's so confusing, and the manual has NOTHING in it about that little washer. Just came wire tied to the coilover.

Looking good man.
Amazing what wheels and suspension do for the looks of the car.

Sucks about the wheels, we have a damage and claims thing with the state for vehicle damage from pot holes. You guys have that?

I don't believe so. There is a Wheel Doctor up the street from where I live that does good work somewhere in the ballpark of $80-$150 I planned on going to eventually.

Okay, so I'm going to call it quits for the night. I've been up since 10:30pm last night, worked 12 hours, then came home to the surprise of my coilovers and have been messing with them for the last 9 hours, lol.

I rounded a nut, and like always, it was THE last nut. Got everything on, just one bolt going through the coilover/knuckle doesn't have a nut at the moment. I figured out my issue with the wheel rubbing the lower perch as well! I can even run less camber than I thought I would have to! It was the little eccentric washer thing, I had it turned the wrong way and not knowing what it did in the beginning only made everything worse because every time I would take the bolts out to lower the car more, it would end up in a different position. I finally thought about it, which was really hard, and realized I was putting it in the opposite way of what I would have wanted to. Need to get the new bolt tomorrow, tighten everything down in the front, decide if I want to raise the rear and by how much, and tighten everything down back there and she'll be on the road again! Thank goodness for lifetime alignments as well ;)

Anyways, here's what you guys have really been wanting to see!

Also, this is the previous owners mess of wires that lead to the trunk area. He was running an amp, and when I bought the car it came with no speakers or a head unit. Right now I'm getting by with my ipod in the ash tray, but soon I'll be upgrading to a double din.

Probably get this done and give the poor girl a bath and maybe get some nicer photos.

Open diff? Hehehe won't get too far that way.
Yeah, hahaha. My brother happened to be at the house and I had him sit on the trunk :icon_rolleyes:

I'm never getting into my girlfriend's apartment complex at this rate, lol. Too low to go up the curb head on, and too scared to try it with the thought of this happening, lol. Guess I'm parking on the street and walking from now on. Just got full coverage insurance though, so that's good! Haha

Momentum at an angle. That's how I get up my driveway. The new struts made it so I finally dont drag the exhaust, but the right rear still picks up and spins if I don't come in hot. Hah

I'll probably drive around and see if there is another point of entry first, lol. The curb is literally 4-5 inches high, with an almost vertical incline. It's absolutely ridiculous. This is my first time experiencing coilovers, so it's all new to me. When the wheel came up, the right rear tire tucked so much it was actually stuck on the fender well, that's why I had to get my brother to sit on it to even everything out, lol. I expected some travel, but I guess the less is better for bumps, lol. My exhaust is like, 3" from the ground. Think it's just some random ebay exhuast. Was on the car when I bought it. It hangs WAY lower than it could be.

Wow man, I thought mine sucked. That's gonna be a pain every time you want to leave
More of, just any time I need to work on it. Usually the Mercedes that's sitting on the house is in the garage. She is the definition of a garage queen. Pretty sure my dad has put less than 1,000 miles on it per year he's owned it, and that's been for over 10 years. Usually I work on it outside, but knew that this was going to take a little longer and would need more room than what we have on the side of the house.

In other news, I had to try your way of getting on the curb. Got to my girlfriend's place, went to pull in and it didn't seem too bad. Can't go head on, so I tried taking it at an angle. Got the first wheel up and bam! Stuck, lol. I had to get out and push it back some, then slowly got the wheel back up and then got a running start at it and it made it up fine. Didn't even scrape. Weird, lol. Well at least I know how to do that.
