I wanted to start a thread of what people run in there cars as far as spark plugs oil ext...

gas
oil/oil filter
spark plugs and wires
trans fluid and dif fluid
coolant

what do you use and why have you had any problems with other brands.

rite now I'm using chevron 89 octane Castrol gtx and fram oil filters (but I will switch to k&n after I brake in my motor). Spark plugs rite now just autolite but will get NGK plugs and wires when I swap them next. trans fluid is walmart crap but swapping out when I do flush same with coolant.

Gas: 93 octane only.
Oil/Filter: Mobil 1 15w-50 / Fram oil filter
Spark plugs: NGK V-power
Wires: Generic part store wires right now, lol.
Trans/Diff fluid: Mystik 90w-140
Coolant: Straight water, flushed every couple weeks.

That's been my combo for about 4-5 years now. The only issue I had was when i changed my trans fluid to royal purple. I run 93 octane because my timing is bumped, and even when the timing is stock it runs like crap on anything less.

Depends on your climate in your area, google Anti-Freeze/Coolant to Water Ratio and it should give you a chart of percentages for diff. ambient temps

Update:

Oil/Filter: Mobil1 Turbo Diesel 5w40 w/ Mobil1 Filter

Me and two other ppl have noticed differences in the way our engine responds and feels. (2 S14's and 1 Colorado)
It may be a placebo thing but for me, it does feel more responsive, and love the fact that it has a High HTHS rating.

M1 15w-50 still has it beat tho.

High Temp / High Sheer Rating:
M1 15w-50 = 5.11
M1 5w-40 Turbo Diesel = 3.9
Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40

Actually I was just looking at Mobil site and seen 15w-50 was 4.5 HT/HS???
Mobil 1 15W-50

If only the parts stores around here carried RedLine. If I had 5w-50 in my area I would switch ASAP.
BTW, M1 High Millage 10w-40 has an HT/HS of 4.06

Yeah.
The 5w40 is good enough for now. but once I start building up the motor I have and put that it. It's break-in then it's Redline 0w40 from there on...
Break-in I'm thinkin about just using GM Conventional 10w30 with Redline Break-In additive. Changes every 500miles (I get extra oil quick lol)
