I have redline shockproof heavy... and its a world of difference from the crap that was in there before! All the notchiness has gone away, it goes into 1st and 2nd MUCH easier now, the tranny seems to stay cooler, and it makes less noise than before. Nothing bad to say about it except for its price!

Quoted from another forum, just trying to help out....

Okay you knuckleheads.....I just called Redline. They said that they DO NOT recommend using Shockproof in Nissan trannies. They said that Shockproof has modifiers that are REALLY slippery and that could be too slippery for Syncro transmissions. By using Shockproof, the gears could clash and cause damage. They recommended using MT-90 in our trannies. If you care to verify my info, call 1-800-624-7958 the guys name is Dave.

S14 sr FSM says 2.5l for transmission capacity. Just buy 3 qts and you will have enough. The best way to fill it to the proper level is to pull the filler plug on the side, make sure the car is level and fill until fluid runs out. I find it easiest to fill through the shifter hole.
I highly recommend MT-90. Its the shit. My sr tranny was kinda notchy running some cheap gear oil and it improved shifting smoothness by a huge amount when I changed. Night and day difference.
