i'm planning on doing a swap this summer.
Question:Who has passed emissions in CA and how?
i have heard numerous stories of people bringing friends 240's to the smog test w/ KA and passing...
but is there ANY way to pass the visual test?
if cops catch you on the streets and ask you to pop the hood will they impound your car right then and there?

Why dont you just get smogged with your KA before you do the swap? That way you're good for 2 years.
There are ways around "passing" emissions. But that requires some $$.
If you don't like Cali- you're more then welcomed to move out.

smog is good for 1 year for older cars like 240sx.
I've passed e*****n. had my sr for almost 2 years now. BTW, there's no way to pass emission LEGALLY!
You must have balls to own an sr20 in california.

to pass u must have money or a friend who is a smog tech

and no they dont impound ur car right then and there they give u a ticket and u have to go see a state ref and pay all the fines.
