test drove an 89 5 speed the other night and I am totallly smitten!
I am selling my Jetta and looking for cheap fun and stumbled across this 240 at a friend's house.
What I know so far about it so far:
Surface rust on hatch near spoiler
Bad Clear Coat'
just over 100k
clutch 25k old.
engineer-owned (meticulous guy)
vibration around 65 mph
3rd gear seems to vibrate
The wife said casually, 1800. So I am thinking they might go to 1500?
I love the interior and the road feel is great. Never had RWD before, mostly modded VW's so its a very refreshing experience.
Look more into it?
