Tint is just basically a film that get placed on your window. Since its a film, it can bubble if not done right (like my purple tint is :p ) so you should leave it to the professionals.

its a film of several tiny layers, and one or two are liquid based so you can trap air inbetween some and thats also why you get some streaks on the windows during the first day or so, and thats also why they have a curing phase. and you normally can't roll your window down for 2-4 days after its installed so it can dry.

its alot of work, its hard and its a bitch.

Thanks for going more indepth. I didn't realize that it had a liquid stage. How hard is it to remove and whats involved?

after its already settled, the safest time to remove it is about a week after it was installed.

it really depends on the film and how it was installed, some tear off in large sheets all in one very easlly and just remove to excess adhessive, while sometimes it can just stick down and you will need to take an exacto to the sucker, and that can take a whiiiiiile.

i have 5 percent in the back and quater panel and i have 15 on the front 2 windows. it is hard to see at night a bit but i fuckin love it. paid 160 for mine.

no tint, i need 100% visibility... hehe... i touge my car so i need to be able to see clearly, not to mention, i do this at night, so it's hard enough to see...
my audi on the other hand, has freaking dark ass tint. i can barely see outside my car at night, i need to roll down my windows to go in reverse. it's a little annoying, i was thinking about removing it, but then again, it's looks really nice... hahahaha

Find a shop that uses Llumar window films and get their 18% platinum tint
here's my cougar with it

Platinum is not 'Mirror tint'. Its not bright all the time. It looks dark most of the time but when you see the sky in it it gets very reflective. I love it and wont tint any other car of mine other than this platinum.
