The other night when I was driving home in the rain I did something stupid. :smacked49

After getting my car out of the county tow yard I was able to strip the bumpers down and see how much real damage there was. I'm deciding on what to do now.

WOW Dude, I'm so glad I found this thread. The pretty much free shell I've got has got some similar but not as bad damage on it (the guy I got it from pulled the worst of it out). Since the price was right I was gonna use it for a drift/auto x car until I took the front end apart and found the damage. But now I think it well may be fixable. I'll try to get a thread started with pics up tonight. :)

Still haven't found it yet but I think when I do I may keep it. It's somewheres in my garage but a buddy had to store a bunch of his crap in there too so I can't find anything in there right now.

Something is still bent, look at how far back your tire sits in your wheel well and your strut is almost behind its center line, when it should be just ahead. I would bet you pulled the whole area where the tension rod mounts backward when the wheel got pulled backward. Start comparing everything to the other side, it should be mirror images.

I have compared it to the other side and I honestly can't see a difference. I was thinking the same exact thing about how the part where the tension rod mounts to the frame being pushed back, but it looks like it lines up at the bottom. The top part of the frame is the only part that go bent.

Could my car be so NOT aligned that the wheel would sit like that due to horrible caster??

Alright after farther examination I realized I actually do have some bent parts.

Tension Rod Bracket, Tension Rod, and Transverse link assembly (LCA) (other piece tension rod connects too)

I'm going to check the junkyard for some pricing on these parts, but as for now she still just sits.

My parts came in the other day and I went out and did work right away. Everything went in pretty nicely except on hole for the bolts on the Nismo Power Brace was stripped. I'm going to re-thread the hole sometime soon. Also after fitting everything back into place and aligning it to a point where I could drive I went to bleed the brakes and stripped the shit out of the bleeder bolt. I have tried liquid wrench, pb plaster, and vice grips but nothing seems to work. Looks like z32 are coming sooner than expected. :thumbsup

And finally, a sweet pic of the backyard the other day. I'm moving out... I will definitely miss it.
